Ranchwife, I enjoyed your pictures. Keep on taking them!!!
Great family you got there! I'm sure you don't have time to get bored.

Sorry to hear about your dad. I'm glad you are going to be going
to see him. The best we can do is the best we can do. That's what I
said to myself when I travelled those many miles to see my dad.
It was a struggle to go at times, but I'm so glad I did. I know you
will be too.

May God Bless you all.

Cowboyup took one of his older brothers with him to the auction in forsythe and came home with "the steal of the day"  .....a 1959 International grain truck "with a 15' knapheide bed, hoist and plumbed for drill fill" :? :???: ....only a few miles from the auction site, big brother Hank informed cowboyup that the truck had "NO BRAKES".....managed to make 'er to Park City for brakes and then she fell apart at Big Timber when the bungee cord holding down the distributer fell off!!!  Parked 'er for the night and 3 of the Croy boys set off the next morning (in the pouring rain, no less) to fix the truck and get 'er home!!
There is something way too familiar about that story. I've bought steal of the sales before. Glad to know there are others of us out there.

When you buy these Steals at a sale you are supposed to sneak them home so if you break down no on sees you. Then you still have your reputation intact. Once you get it home and it passes muster you can park it so everyone sees how good of a bargain hunter you are.

not a bad bargain hunter considering the truck only cost $100....of course, that was before the brakes, the distributor and the gas!!!! Of course, there was also lunch for he and his brothers the next day!

Ranchwife is being pretty tough on me. It's running great with two pieces of baling wire and a bungee cord holding the distibutor down and in time. Heck it even has a radio, doesn't work, but it has a radio :D

I have often thought about all the wonderful times with that man as I was growing up...and as an adult, I can share the laughs with my kids...thank goodness I shared some of those times with SW....he put them to rhyme that I do not have the talent to do myself....will have to share those words when the time comes!!
