Ok after reading NR's posts on highschool math,I thought it would be fun to find out what was the single most fun or best memory you have of highschool....And were you a good student with a good atitude, the class clown ..the trouble maker or the jock......

Just think of the clothes and hair styles alone back in your day,and it may bring back some fun memorries.....oh ya did you own a car and if so what kind.

I wont ask for the year you graduated that will be up to each themselves if they want to date themselves......one last thing, how many of you married your highschool sweatheart.....

I did...married my high school sweetheart. Still am married to him.

No car of my own. Drove my folks car and didn't drive it much.
One that they had was a '59 Chevrolet Impala with the fins in the back.

Worked at the downtown movie theater and Drive-In movie theater.
Both were a blast!!!!!!!!!! We used to have $1 a car night.
Everyone would pile in and we'd go to the movie for $1. Had
contests to see which car could carry the most kids!!!!!!!! Of course,
the owner didn't make any money, but we didn't know what the
show was about anyway. I think he made it up on concessions, lol.
Oh and we had the "OWL SHOW" at the downtown theater every
Saturday night during the winter. Played Bingo after the regular movie and waited for the OWL SHOW. A couple of girs were real screamers
and during a scary movie, just about the time something bad was
going to happen, they would scream bloody murder.

Raced 'between the pipes' south of Buffalo, Wyoming on highway 87.
One kid we went to school with had a '62 Corvette. Riding in that
was something. Sounded like the road was coming through the
floorboards when he was racing. Sad to say, he died in a car wreck
in his 20's.

I always got in trouble in the winter for putting pig eyeballs in the cheerleader's lockers. I had to help butcher so I made good use of the "scraps".

My highschool literally set in the middle of a corn field. I drove the old farm truck to school but only during softball season. I think I was the only senion that road the bus in the off season. "If that bus is going to drive by the house, you are going to be on it", According to Dad.

My highschool sweetheart was killed in an accident. I did, however, marry the feller I dated in college. Still married.

Gang of older retards beat me up pretty much everyday at school. Then I would come home and my step dad would beat the crap out of me.
I hated town life.

My first date with my wife was my Junior Prom, she was basically my only girlfriend ever and the only one I can imagine being with... Within a few eeks of starting to date her I started thinkinga bout how nice it would be with her in 20 or 30 years and here wer are, 14.5 years later after some good times and some not so good times but we keep muddleing through it...

Car back than.. Oh, I had a Chevy Celebrity stationwagon... and 87 I think.. It had a big dent up front, rust spots on the door and an engine that just plain stunk. Thought we had cracked the engine once and we would be getting a new old car but it was something easier and cheaper to fix, shucks.

Kept to myself mostly in high school, got along mostly with just about everyone but wasn't into the scene of drinking and partying so I had a nice and quiet social life except a few good friends. College was more fun and I think back at my first three years at NU often and how much fun I had... Too much obviously because I didn't last 4 years, lol.

All these high school romances-- my wife tells everyone she was still in a cradle when I graduated  ...Couldn't argue that because I sure didn't know her back then...Because she apparently was the studenty type and that was the furthest from my mind--if it didn't have something to do with rodeos, or sports, or party's I wasn't interested...Probably missed half the days of those 4 years working, rodeoing, or screwing off- thought school was boring.....But I sure paid for it when I got to college and was trying to remember the chemistry and algebra I barely passed...

I think the best part of HS was the friends I made- a couple of the ranchers that are now my best friends were in HS with me, roommates in college, and stood up for me when I got married... Many others that I see quite regularly- and even some of the ones that moved away that we call each other now and then-- pretty tight knit class...The worst thing now is its getting to be I see a lot of them when I'm attending one of the other ones funerals....

Ah, high school....... Partied way too much, had a good time doing it, and still managed to get passing grades. Didn't have a vehicle, but didn't need one, cause the boyfriend had one. Didn't marry the high school sweetheart, and don't reqret it one bit. My best friend in high school is still a best friend all these years later.

my high school days were not the greatest, either, but I sure loved being a teen in the 80's....BIG HAIR, TRANS AMS, PARACHUTE PANTS, PERMS, BIG MAKE UP, PASTEL JEWELRY, THE MUSIC (so, it sounds "dorky" right now) and listening to all the other girls try and do their best "valley girl" impersonations.....like, I'm so sure...gag me with a spoon!!

My one true high school sweet heart and I broke up my sophomore year...also was my "first love"....still wonder how he is and what his life turned out like!! (sigh!!)

My best memory of high school was GRADUATING!!  i also had fun just "cruising the drag"....all 4 blocks of it in deer lodge  ...going in the hills "four-wheeling"....prom my freshman year.....(another sigh)!!

My car was a 1970-something Ford Pinto station wagon.....puke green...but that thing would run when everything else in town was froze up and would go forever on $5 of gas.....man, didn't everything, though!!

used to drink the old saparilla in the dark bottles, the cops pulled us over because it looked like beer!! little did they know we always drank beer with a straw!!! guess they thought it was pop ! they NEVER suspected a thing!

hard to beat playing football in high school....would love to suit up for one more game, give almost anything to do it!

high school sweetheart and I were engaged but I broke it off before we got hitched...took 7 years before we talked to each other again. But I met and married the ONE person on this Earth that I think I was truley meant for.... I got lucky and married up.

I was the class hellion....I had an ag teacher beg me to go into ag ed....said I DESERVED to be a teacher after all the crap I pulled..... he absolutely hated the fact that I showed people how to build acetylene bombs !

I married my high school sweetheart. And yeap we are still married....22 years later. And they said it wouldnt last. :p

I wasn't a cheerleader (thank goodness....least I didn't have pig eyeballs in my locker) Actually there wasn't much of anything in my locker after I started drivin my sophomore year. My 1969 chevy truck was my locker. Mom and Dad handed it down to me. Mom had bought it for Dad for Christmas 1969. It was Canary Yellow....or is I should say. I drove it until about 10 years ago, my brother has it now, with stipulations that if he ever wants to get rid of it, I get it back. It was also the Weddin vehicle that got all decorated at our weddin.

Mr Lilly was more a Rock n Roll sorta fella when it comes to music. And I was traditional country all the way. The first time he asked me out, was to a "Rush" concert, to which I said "NO" A few weeks later he asked me out again, to a movie and pizza....I went. What's funny, when we really got to know each other before our first date...it was on a double date, both of us had different dates, a Don Williams concert. He took a girl that I couldnt stand, and I went with his best friend. Who later stood up for him at our weddin, and we are still really close friends with he and his wife now.

Most of the time tho our dates consisted of Dirt Track racin. He had a mini sprint back then and we'd head off to the races along with a bunch of his friends, and his dad and auto mechanics teacher. Man we had sooooo much fun. Them wuz the days!!!!!!!!!!!!!

High school was OK I guess for a transplanted city girl moving into a town with under 400 people in it...closest city{small}was an hour away, two larger citys 2 hours away. First time I set foot in town ,felt like I'd died and gone to hell :!: The kids to me were small town hicks that didn't know sqat about fashion, esp the cowboy a year ahead of me in school.

Been married to the cowboy 28 years and those hicks are still the best friends I've ever had in my life.

It is wonderful how life kinda directs us to a destination we do not even see comming.....One day you find yourself in a place you just cant stand, only to find out it is the place you were meant to be...

Highschool (sigh!!!!) I'd love to do it all over again! The fun we had, the trouble we got into! Wasn't a cheerleader, wasn't an athlete, wasn't a good student (even though when I started highschool, my average was in the 90's). Never needed a car cause you could always find somebody to hitch a ride with. $20 lasted all weekend, enough money to buy smokes and beer, and still have plenty of change left over. Last two years of highschool was one big party! Got detention alot, got suspended a time or two.

Now, I'm old and boring. Life doesn't extend much beyond this farm.

Married the guy I was dating in grade 12. Man, how my parents despised him! He was the hellion on wheels that was ALWAYS in trouble! Their opinion has changed alot towards him (kinda had to), but I think they still think I could've done a whole lot better.

Awwww highschool...them were the days that's for sure...Went to a small town school...everyone was friends...I dated the same guy for the last 2 yrs of highschool, intending on marrying...but like it so often happens..we went to different colleges...and drifted apart. I played volleyball and softball...wasn't the star player, but wasn't bad either. I showed horses in 4-h and did alot of riding back then...that was my cup of tea, I guess you'd say. Did really good in 4-h...Back in the "70's" was a fun time and I wouldn't change a thing about my years in highschool...except maybe I should of studied harder..lol Now when we have our class reunions...we really have a good time... :!: And one more thing about living in a rural community...our particular class has the lowest rate of divorce! I think that says sumthin about country folks stickin it out ...in good times and bad...OH to be 17 again....

Highschool was okay but I wouldn't want to do it over again- really glad to graduate and move on- liked college better but worked and studied hard. The fun part about highschool were the pajama parties our group of girls had- staying up late watching creepy shows, boy talk, Canteen dances. Didn't have a car. We walked most places or rode the bus or trolley. Two of my friends and I did a singing/guitar act called The Singing Janitors which kept us busy practising and actually won us a prize or two. When I think about growing up years- music was a big part of my life. In the school choir and the church choir. Our youth group at church was all from the same school and we did have lots of fun in discussions, work projects, evening get-togethers ice skating, bowling, playing the piano at the nursing home, caroling etc. The leaders were very good about organizing plenty of interesting activities. I dated a fellow in that group for a couple years but it fizzled out. I think we both needed a change and I met Mr. nr my freshman yr of college through Inter-Varsity.

One and the same! He went early every year to check out the freshmen girls. Actually that is when he met me then we got to know each other thru I-V. As the saying goes, he chased me til I caught him. Our daughter also met her husband in Inter-Varsity and I think they've been married 15 yrs. Can that Be possible??? Yikes.
