This latest deal on R-CALF sure is funny. On one side you have the obsessed Canadians and NCBA members who are frothing at the mouth wanting to know who said what to whom, who did what and when, what the financials say, on and on and on.... and on the other side are actual R-CALF members who aren't getting overly excited about the deal at all!

"OBSESSED". Now there is an interesting word choice. It could easily apply to R-Calf vis-a-vis stopping imports in general and those from Canada in particular.
R-calf cast the first stone in this situation,Sandhusker. Don't even try to deny the things that R-calf members, directors and others have said about our cattle and beef.
You can bet your R-calf ass that I "just gotta laugh" at the "problems" your organization is having. Looks good on'ya. Spin away!!! :D :D :D

Really! Lets say that after all your snorting and blowing, stomping your feet, banging the tables, ranting and raving that you find out exactly who said what to whom, when they said it, why they said it, what they did next etc... You can account for every penny that came in and where every cent went, you know Bullard's favorite ice cream and that Kiker likes blue-eyed brunettes with big cans and Irish accents (OK, so that is me) - then what? What are you going to do?

Are you going to ask for your money back? You don't have any in. Are you going to quit? You never joined. Are you going to sue them? You don't have a case. Just what the heck are you going to do with this information? What - are- ya - gonna- do?

No, TimH, the packers threw the first stone, it hit you in the head, and you didn't even know they did it. rcalf picked up some stones to throw back at the packers (they had been hit before) and you focus on them.

Sorry Econ, but the packers didn't file a bogus dumping case against us. The packers didn't convince a "judge" that CDN beef was "a genuine risk of death". The packers didn't take out a full page ad ,in the Washington Post, smearing CDN beef and cattle. That was all R-Calf.

Tim, "Laugh my ass off."

Yuk it up good, Tim. When you're done, R-CALF will still be here, the Canadian packing industry will still be just a part of the "good 'ol days", you'll still live and die over one country taking your beef, and the CFIA will still dance to the USDA's tune. That's funny as hell, ain't it?

and american ranchers will be dancing to the same tune. as far as the r-calfers are concerned as long as canadians are miserable r-calf will think it's wrongheaded strategy is a success as they continue to aid the packers in gaining strength.

What's funny as hell is, a bunch of people joining and funding an organization called "Ranchers Cattlemen Action Legal Fund", which then hires a snake oil salesman like Bullard as CEO. :D :D
"Let's raise some money, for the express purpose of hiring lawyers, and we'll get a con-artist to manage it for us."

What the hell did you think would happen??? :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

By the way,Sandhusker, Higher fuel and feed grain prices and the difference in the exchange rate, not to mention declining beef demand, have done as much or more damage to cattle prices than BSE has.
So......yup!!! I'll continue to yuk it up,as I'm sure you and R-calf will continue to supply the comedy/gong show.
:D :D :D :D :D :D

Keep it up OT cause I keep sending copies of your protectionist attitude to our MP's saying we should cut the power to you r-calf supporters.

I live in the middle of the Williston Basin (many wells which quit pumping because the pipelines were clogged with Canuck oil), 20 miles from the 5th largest earth filled dam in the world producing 200,000kw, and 50 miles from what is believed to be the largest coal supply in the state- part of an entire bed which is believed to have enough coal to power the US for 200 years---- and your going to cut my power :???:
