with all the talk on here about war and such it got me thinking....so much time is spent worring about outside your country...The real fear that i see is,an implosion rather than an explosion......First drugs are no longer just an inner city problem.....steriod use is now a part of the so called athletic culture.....Crack and meth fight eachother for the most used drug and there are so many people are on meds, that pharmicutial companys are now considered top stocks....Heath issues like Obesity and smoking taxx the heath care system...guns are still way to easy to get and yes i know its your right to sell and buy guns, but is says nowhere, that, amunition is your right....The rich get poorer, the poor become homeless, gas is costly,(and not just for automobile use)and the canadian dollar is with in ten cents of the american.....I think its time to stop this choosing of sides based on old political beliefs, and start maybe thinking of voting for the one who will help sweep up home, before cleaning up to many others yards.....this is just my opinion and maybe i am way off......Even when goverment direction was really needed in New Orleans, many seemed upset and felt that it was handled poorly.....There is a saying that goes " Home sweet home".....I sure hope it stays that way......Your country is a wonderful place full of many wonderful and outstanding helping, caring people....The world needs the U.S.A.my hope is it can find the right caretaker soon..(again This thread is strickly my opinion, and that and a buck, will get you a coffee at your local diner,)

it is a double edged sword...we need to be over there taking care of what we started, but we have so many problems at home.
I despise this global mentality. I wish we were an isolationalist country. our govt. is so worried about the sick, hungry, and homeless in Africa, Asia, and South America, that I think they forgot all those here !!
it is sad to see people in such conditions, but I think we ought to help ourselves first, then go over seas.

if every town had one big tree and one short rope, the drug problem would quickly dry up. the liberals and lawyers have gutted this country. we need to get the teeth back into the justice system, we need to get the pride back into our people, we need our youth to respect the older citizens, we need to reign in our govt. and most of all, we need to remember that people built this nation, it was not built by 200 guys in Washington D.C. so we as a public, need to take control of our leaders once again, and remind them, just who they are paid by, and who they work for!

Good post. Thank you for your obvious concern and I think Canadians should be concerned about the direction the USA is headed in. We're neighbors, after all.

Blame it on the Republicans. They've had the White House for most of the last 25 years. Regan, Bush, Democrat, Bush. CNN had an interesing poll recently. They compared George W. Bush with Bill Clinton and in every category, the majority of Americans said Clinton did a better job than Bush. Hindsight is 20-20.

There is blame to many people on this issue, including the past leaders and voters.....Time to stop the blame game and find common ground...This is not a W Bush attack, these issues he did not start....Look ahead not back for the answer......Somewhere love and understanding must be in the equation.....

I agree with you, but you don't understand. Love and understanding are laughed and sneered at by Conservatives. I guess you missed the posts about Katrina and New Orleans? The usual suspects on this page, Passin Gas, RR, pretty much said those people stranded for days in New Orleans got what they deserved. I don't "understand" that attitude; actually I find it offensive.

some harsh ideas, but at least jigs you care about your country.......and might i add a very well said posting, most of what you say is bang on.......And I being someone who leans towards a liberal ideology,I agree that the teeth have been takin away......and that the so called liberation of the north american citizen, has been more about self rights then, respect for the common man...The answer I have not, but,I believe that with out respect for eachother, the sound of implosion gets louder...

There is so much wrong with nonothings post it is pathetic. Comes off as just another Bush Hater. Just to highlight a few of the problems with this OPINION

so much time is spent worring about outside your country
what can I say.............this is so stupid. You have to worry about what goes on in other countries. Get your history book out about countries and their tactics to do others harm. Does 911 ring a bell for just ONE example.

an implosion rather than an explosion
Possible...but just because it does won't make us immune to attacks.

First drugs are no longer just an inner city problem
I beg to differ, sure you will find it in rural areas, However just look at the kids on this board they are active and have involved parents........one of the first things to discourage drugs. Busy kids are less prone to trouble. I'll put the kids whose parents are on this board up with the very best of society...............because they are the VERY BEST. Secondly they have parents......not a Welfare check for a daddy.

steriod use is now a part of the so called athletic culture
A few instances do not make it a part of the culture..................furthermore
I RESENT that assumption

guns are still way to easy to get and yes i know its your right to sell and buy guns, but is says nowhere, that, amunition is your right
Statitics show guns in the hands of law abiding citizens cut crime......Case closed

The rich get poorer, the poor become homeless, gas is costly
I have friends in banking, they say and I see it day in and day out.......the poor keep themselves poor by their actions. It is a common practice in banking to see poor people come into money, pay off their house put money away.....................shortly they come back, mortgage the house, overspend on junk, take their savings out of the bank, all thee while they have a cig hanging out their mouth, sspending the days in the bar, having twenty dogs, supporting illegitimate grand kids and on and on.

The ironic thing is people from other counties can tell us what is wrong....however many times their 'home" is worse than ours.

About the only way to describe things...........................

TAKE SOME PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY and quit waiting for someone else or the gov.

Passing thru with people like you nothing has a chance at getting better.....You live a life through news stations and others opinions....get out ,see the world... have you ever even left your home town little own your country?...Passing thru,go to any gym in north america and tell me,if steriod use is not rampant....You need to look no futher than this site to ask the youth if they have partook or witness drug use......Please fart so you can blow your head back outta your ass......Its attitudes like yours that stifle growth......Sorry you dont agree but your wayyyyyyy off.......AS far as from another country, your may be right...its not my bussiness, but see i care about North america and for it to go forward and be successful it will involve the USA..Maybe passing thru you should get out of your family bought cocoon and see whats really going on....You always say its whining.which i dont get.its just an observation. Why is looking in the mirror so hard on you?

PS.,,I blame little on Mr G.W.Bush....many before him had thier chances to look after home long before hecame along...stop making all things good or bad about Bush, its getting boring and lacks intellegence.......

NOTHING........... I see you can't get past your name calling...........

With a closed mind like yours, I see no need discussing with you.

In closing I will say I have traveled much, read much and witnessed much..........much more than some head in the sand foreigners. I have been to many a gym and I still say you are living in la la land. I have witnessed many athletes and their dedication and hard work, not popping pills. Hard work and dedication...................foreign to SOME people. Many people have witnessed many things........coming to the assumption that that makes it rampant is just off the wall. I resent you making claims about kids on this site and insinuating drug use.
As far as family bought cocoon you are way off on that one........another ASSumption on your part.
However the bright side is you did say it was NONE of your business........thank you

First off i never called you a name.As far as closed minded,i think you are holding that one down yourself.I am sure you read alot,i can see your political views come out from reading others opinions. If your claim is to say steriods is not outta control in todays health market, you are being fooled..As far as the youth on here i an sure they have tried or wittnessed a beer or two in the very least, yes i do believe that...(alchol is a drug sir)...As far as your family helping you out,all i can do is take your word, which i will do a graciously, my aplogies for insuating your help up...As far as ASSumptions go I do believe you made many yourself.....You want me to look bad, thats ok,but be fair in your attacks, bullies like you do get it in the end....Oh and your welcome.....Agian sorry the mirror seems to scare you so much.

 Hey!!! I guess I missed that post! If you're gunna name names, don't leave me out! :x :(

But they didn't ALL get what they deserved, did they? A lot of the thievin' s.o.b.'s deserve to be in jail. Or executed, as far as I'm concerned. Whole families of them. :x

I guess you really didn't take time to check out the "Battle of New Orleans" link, did you? Too bad. It would have been worth the wait. If you had, I think you would have included me on your list. :D

After the shots you've taken from the Conservative Republicans on this thread, I rest my case. :) But I appreciate your concern.

thanks Dis for your usual pointless drivel and Bush bashing....you bring so little to the table

If you didn't say it, I'm sure you were nodding your head in agreement with those who were. I can back up more of my posts than you and most anyone else on this board. That's why you dislike me. I speak the truth and it scares the poop out of you.
