How is that even possible?

Info from banks. Simple. The Dodd Frank Act authorized it.................

Supposedly, they are watching over 900,000,00 accounts.

The CFPB Head Honcho admitted to it in testimony.

I suppose the authority is somewhere in here:

http://www.ecfr.gov/cgi-bin/text-idx?c=ecfr&tpl=/ecfrbrowse/Title12/12cfr1070_main_02.tpl

The CFPB even has access to your medical records:

§1070.55 Special procedures for medical records.

If an individual requests medical or psychological records pursuant to §1070.53 of this subpart, the CFPB will disclose them directly to the requester unless the CFPB determines that such disclosure could have an adverse effect on the requester. If the CFPB makes that determination, the CFPB shall provide the information to a licensed physician or other appropriate representative that the requester designates, who shall disclose those records to the requester in a manner he or she deems appropriate.

I understand how they get the info but how would they even sift through that many accounts. I can see them having the authority and ability to but not the man power.

Big Brother is watching............

How does a Credit Bureau have and use all the info they have at their disposal?

Yeah, I would guess that Republicans own 80% of all credit card accounts, with democrats owning the majority of collateralized and debit cards. No surprise they're being watched.

The U.S. gov't is closely monitoring 80% of all private credit card accounts.

This is the same government that couldn't find or stop terrorists they were warned about in two major terror attacks, one at fort Hood, the other at the Boston Marathon,..

This is the same government that can't get a website to handle more the 6 peoples accounts on the first day of it's launch..

really I guess if they want to try to look at millions of credit card accounts.. I would expect that same great level of service..

in the mean time.. I am not a bit worried..

They were warned about Benghazi too.

I tried to limit my examples to a few just to make a point.. if I included every inept act of government over the last few years my post would have made flounders seem short and to the point... :? :???:

Its not real time that is the problem, it is the retro mining that should be of real concern (like a judge or political candidate) or the ability to obtain names on certain donation lists and then retro mine it to scold them or financially ruin them.

Having access to that much personal information is an infringement.

“It’s very alarming and McCarthy-esque in its zeal. To put a person on a secret list because they bought the ‘wrong book’ or are associated with someone who did is overly paranoid."

as the old soviet union and China head towards democracy... we head towards a communist Cuba style government.. where will freedom loving people escape to now?
