The political scene is looking awfully grim.
We were pretty gullible to think, over the past who knows how many years, that those of us just doing our jobs could count on the people we sent to all the levels of government doing their jobs with their best efforts to following the Constitution with personal honesty and integrity.
Somewhere along the line, the number of elected and appointed folks got way off the track our forebears intended for our Constitutional Republic, and we failed to hold them to the proper actions they swore to carry out.
We failed to act when our schools, from most local and smallest, to our highest educational institutions, to the excellence in education expected until fairly recently. We allowed them to 'educate' many of our students with the liberal ideas, and to 'dumb them down' so that they are too often incapable of holding decent jobs. Then we allowed government entities to 'help' them with welfare programs obviously designed to turn them into a liberal voting machine. What a design by liberals! They also pushed the more intelligent students who were willing and cooperative, into government educators and public opinion leaders.....all obviously to keep they system flowing toward ever more liberal directions.
It just seems the only way to get back on track to our Democratic Republic of a largely Christian population, tolerant of others, but not to the point of allowing them to turn us and our government into something unfamiliar to our values, is to turn more strongly to our Faith. Maybe prayer is the only way to get out of this mess. Sure looks like some tough times for hard working small business people are ahead of us.
