Anybody have one of these-supposedly you can store 3500 books on one plus just order new ones to get uploaded. I read about a dozen books a week so this sounds kind of intriguing.
i bought my wife a nook for xmas, she reads alot and loves the thing, needs wifi and she can surf web also, she used to go out of the house lugging 5 or six books with her
I dunno...I kinda like the old fashioned book versions....cuz you still hafta pay for each book you download. Not sure on the prices..but I've heard it's the same as the published version. (I very well could be wrong on that deal tho) But with regular books....I take em in to the used bookstore where I have an account and they credit that account. Then I get used books at a huge discount.
THe e-reader from Chapters comes with 100 books preloaded-we can't buy Nooks in Canada. The e-books are cheaper than print versions-I do the used book deal too every time I go to the city-between books and deer heads I'm heading for an appearance on hoarders lol.
MY daughter really likes hers. She takes it to work or anywhere and always has her reading material. I am pretty sure it's cheaper to down load then buy paper backs.
I"ve read reviews on them that say the ebooks cost as much or more than a regular old fashioned book. So that's out for me. I'd rather read a book....that doesn't hafta be plugged in. That I can take back and trade in for more books....etc.
e-books are about 50 to 75% of a print book-Katrina if you go to Amazon.com or Chapters.ca there are reviews and comparisons of them all. I think there is a free PcC download for most of them too.
i pruchased the nook from barnes and noble,it has 2.5 millon books you can download for free but also has alot for sale,my wife is scanning thru all the free ones so far
