You obviously didn't see the Pelosi interview. She said that she would be bi-partisan through and through. (paraphrasing)

There ain't a bi-partisan bone in her body. Not one.

Look out taxes! You're going up!

Fine..if an increase in my taxes will help with SS, Rx programs for the elderly, update our highway system that is falling apart, fund research so people like my Uncle won't have to die from Alzheimers, schools get more funding, jobs are no longer sold out to foreign countries for cheaper wages, the oil companies get their nose out of GW butt.....etc etc etc

Sure I'll pay a few more dollars.

If you think the Dem's are going to do all that, you are sadly
mistaken, Kola. I hope for the best.

Nancy Pelosi has already said what she is going to do in 100 hours.
There was a political antalyst on FOX that said she couldn't do that
in 100 DAYS!!!!

So there you go...empty words that sound good.

Pelosi is just 3 heart beats away from the Presidency!!!!

Chew on that awhile!

Don't get snotty with me FH...I didn't vote for a crook ( Burns) as you gladly stated you would/did!!

OMG..you mean FOX said THAT....wellllll....it must be true then!!!!

Heck I even voted Rep here in Ga!!

Snotty? That wasn't snotty. I AM hoping for the best. I hope the
United States won.

Woman hating woman. You got the wrong person R2.
And as for successful, I'm all for success for women.
I am competitive in a man's business.
'Course you wouldn't know about that. Our lives are so different.
But I don't need anyone telling me I'm a woman hating woman.
I champion for women many times. But am I a feminist, NOOOO.

Let's stop these personal attacks now.

Your people won. Congratulations.

Stem stell research from umbilical cords is fine. I believe they are making great progress there, they've already grown a small human liver from stem cells from umbilical cords. Stem cell research from neonates is WRONG, and I don't want my tax dollars paying to research stem cells from fertilized embryos. You guys need to separate the two.

In Montana, passing the lottery was supposed to go to school funding. That was what was promised many years ago, so it passed (I voted for it about 30 yrs ago for that very reason) and it never happened. It just goes to the general fund

NO ONE wants to farm embryos.....BUT .....use the frozen embryos that are now stored for in-vitro. A friend of mine, age 40, has had 2 kids IVF and is done with having babies...and has 17 eggs stored.
She tried to donate them for scientific research but hit a brick wall...they had to be trashed!! TRASHED and wasted. They could have been used in research.

Like Forrest Gump...' thats all I got to say about that"!

If higher taxes will help with SS, Rx Programs, Schools etc.....Then why has it not helped to solve all them problems already? We have had high taxes all my life, but these problems have never went away. How stupid is it to think that more tax dollars will solve them now?

Schools have proven this they say more money is the answer then when they get it there is no difference, they continue on the down slide.

To say Higher Taxes would have any affect on Outsourcing really shows your grasp on these issues. If you would like I could give you my 9 year olds e-mail he might be able to explain things to you

Yea I have noticed that, when given the chance to explain exactly how higher taxes will help them areas of interest No comment, just a reply to my personality which might be accurate but still a side stepping of the subject.

I would really love to know how Higher Taxes will help any area that kolanuraven mentioned and why the higher taxes of past did not solve them problems?

I guess if we pay more taxes then the Government could give a subsidy to Dell so they will not send Jobs to Indonesia? I guess that would explain kolanuraven's reasoning for Higher Taxes.

Now that is the kind of wasteful spending we have been seeing from our government. It is not economically efficient!

Aplus or whatever.....when you approach someone for the first time and expect a decent reply....don't start off with a pissy beginning.

Can you understand that or do I need to get my 5 yr old niece to email you and explain it to you?

Yep I can understand that, sorry for my first post being sarcastic, but when I see such absurd remarks it is hard for me to hold my fingers back.

Now that we got all that out of the way, would you like to explain your remarks on how Higher taxes will help us? And why if they will why have they not solved all these problems for the past years?

I believe a person should either be able to give a logical explanation of what they say or do not say anything. I will be interested in seeing your logic on this need for higher taxes?

I eagerly await your third post to me, hoping that the 3rd time will be the charm and you will enlighten me on how more taxes will help us to solve the problems facing this nation?

my thought did we vote out personal responsibility and replace it with taxes.Alzheimers run in my family , we donate to research ( lot of research colleges out there), why should tax dollars pay for something that a private drug company will end up making a profit on. Are you going to subsidize those companies or penalize them for making drugs for health care now?
SS wasn't supost to be a retirement program just a safety net.
Rather have school funded locally or by states not goverened from washington.
Most those out sorced jobs have been replace here with higher paying jobs.

Aplus, who is asking you to pay more taxes? Is it the feds or is it the locals? There have been too many pieces of legislation out of DC that have not had the funding also. That makes your local taxes go up.

If anyone should pay more taxes for living in this wonderful U.S. with all its advantages, it is the top 5%. A tax on them would not hurt any of us.

They do, however, like to lump "tax increases" on them with the threat of tax increases on you so they don't have to get a tax increase.

It is the oldest trick in the book.

Who is saying you, yes you, need a tax increase? Is it just fear mongering or is someone telling you that your taxes are going to be higher? If you are in the top 5%, trying to get out of "death taxes", trying to lower your investment income (capital gains tax), or close your huge tax loopholes, I am sorry I don't feel sorry for you.
