Ice storms, Katrina's, Blizzards (I remember one year we watched the Stanly Cup last playoff series with generator power), Nuke meltdowns, and even some sort of Oil and Gas infrastructure interruption from what ever cause. It's not a bad idea to be somewhat prepared. To paraphrase Alan Nation speaking about his Katrina experience. "The Veneer of Society is very thin". So being prepared is never a bad thing.
That is a very true statement. Can you imagine if, for some unimaginable reason, truck traffic stopped for just 10 days. I think the reprecussions would be unbelievable.
I, too, see where Kit could be considered as peddling in fear, but I don't think that he is. I also don't see how that could help sell bulls, so maybe he is just telling us all how he genuinely feels. Same with Glenn Beck. Many accuse him of selling fear, although I feel that he is just truly alarmed at a lot of things. Before someone starts yelling at me to "put that in Political Bull", understand that Glenn Beck advocates stocking up on supplies also, and that is what the last few posts have been about.
