LOL first I accidentally posted this under hanta yo's name, forgot I had her on my part of the computer logged in last nite lol

well on Saturday a kitty showed up at our house. Just helped itself to our basement window well. Poor thing had goopy eyes, mites, and was skinny as heck. So we gave him some old ratty clothes to sleep on, and some food and water, and left him to see if he'd make it though the night. Well Sunday we wake up and he already looks better, his eyes cleared up a bit and he acted more alive. So we decided to give him the little puppy bed we had with lots of rags in it and give him food and water. We even bought him wet cat food on Saturday when we went into town. He came inside and watched some of the Superbowl with us on Sunday. He cleaned himself up so he's not muddy, he eats and drinks lots, his eyes are clear, we cleaned his ears and put mite treatment in them, he greets me at the window when I go up to it, and now he's in the house below Hanta Yo at the other computer at the moment. He just adores us for saving him, he follows me around it's like hes in love with me lol. Here's some pics of "Diego" (hanta hates that name) and his "home" lol

OOOOOO mtcowgurl, he needs you!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm glad he found you!!!!!!!!!!!

FH,

I've never seen a cat love a person so much as this black cat loves MCG. He is the loviest kitty I've ever seen. I think he is a kitty who is actually grateful for saving him from death.

I guess we'll see how he turns out in the future.

He looks amazingly like our cat Marco who we go 10 years ago when we lived out in Bozeman.. Of course she is a girl (I don't know how she ended up with her name, I can't remember) and is a big fat cat now but that is what she looked like right down to the little white patch... She was a good kitten but she has issues,lol.... Only cat we have that I actually like... Might be the only one who likes me as well..

Well, Hanta, here is another picture of our little urchin that a friend
found almost dead in a snowdrift in Nov. of 2005.
He is the coolest cat I have ever seen and I cannot imagine
NOT having him. But he had a close call...good thing they found
him when they did. He was soooooo little and so near death that
they said he couldn't even hold his head up. They thought he had
lost an eye as well. They nursed him back to health although 2
in the family are very allergic to cats. So, long story short, they
gave him to us.

Anyway, I hope you have as much fun with your 'stray' as we have with
this one.

Your kitty looks just like our monkeyface kitty. Will have to post a pic.

Looks like you've got a pretty happy cat over there

You don't have to own a cat to appreciate this one...

We were dressed and ready to go out for the New Year's Eve party.

We turned on a night light, turned the answering machine on, covered our pet parakeet and put the cat in the backyard. We phoned the local cab company and requested a taxi.

The taxi arrived and we opened the door to leave the house. The cat we had put out in the backyard scooted back into the house. We didn't want the cat shut in the house because she always tries to eat the bird. My wife went out to the taxi while I went inside to get the cat. The cat ran upstairs with me in hot pursuit.

Waiting in the cab, my wife didn't want the driver to know that the house would be empty for the night...so, she explained to the driver that I would be out soon, "He's just going upstairs to say goodbye to my mother."

A few minutes later, I got into the cab. "Sorry I took so long," I said as we drove away. "That stupid bitch was hiding under the bed. I had to poke her with a coat hanger to get her to come out! She tried to take off, so I

grabbed her by the neck. Then I had to wrap her in a blanket to keep her from scratching me, but it worked...I hauled her fat ass downstairs and threw her out in the backyard!"

The driver hit a parked car...

Uh-oh: not only am I recognizing family pictures of folks I've never met on this forum, now even their pets are recognizable! That cat of yours FH always has such a trustingly relaxed pose!

And Montana Cowgirl- that is one very black cat. Guess nobody's superstitious in your house.

nr, a black cat is lucky IF YOU OWN IT.

It's the ones that cross in front of you that brings bad luck.

Thank you for the clarification on this weighty topic,FH.
They've never bothered me but I did have one superstitious grandmother who saw evil intent in ladders, hospitals etc. and around black cats she'd have a true cat-niption.

My grandaddy was very superstitious of black cats. Why I don't know, but Grandma usta tell me stories of Grandaddy refusin drive where he'd seen a black cat cross the road, He'd turn around and drive for miles and miles out of his way. She said that they ran out of gas numerous times and were left sittin on the side of the road.....all because of a black cat.

(That's when I think I would have insisted on doin the drivin LOL)

that must be the origin of "scaredy-cat"
