"L I T T L E" Things

As you might know, the head of a company survived
9/11 because his son started kindergarten.

Another fellow was alive because it was
his turn to bring donuts.

One woman was late because her
alarm clock didn't go off in time.

One was late because of being stuck on the NJ Turnpike
because of an auto accident.

One of them
missed his bus.

One spilled food on her clothes and had to take
time to change.

One's
car wouldn't start.

One went back to
answer the telephone.

One had a
child that dawdled
and didn't get ready as soon as he should have.

One couldn't
get a taxi.

The one that struck me was the man
who put on a new pair of shoes that morning,
took the various means to get to work
but before he got there, he developed
a blister on his foot.

He stopped at a drugstore ! to buy a Band-Aid.
That is why he is alive today.

Now when I am

stuck in traffic,

miss an elevator,

turn back to answer a ringing telephone...

all the little things that annoy me.

I think to myself,

this is exactly where
God wants me to be

at this very moment..

Next time your morning seems to be

going wrong,
the children are slow getting dressed,

you can't seem to find the car keys,

you hit every traffic light,

don't get mad or frustrated;

God is at work watching over you.

May God continue to bless you

with all those annoying little things

and may you remember their possible purpose.

Oh yesssssss.

Good reminder. You are a real asset to this forum, passin thru. IMO.
I always enjoy what you post.

Ya took the words outta my mouth, FH!!!! Every once in awhile, we could all use a little reminder that EVERYTHING happens for a reason....it just may take us awhile to find out 'WHAT' that reason may be!!! :D

:) Thanks for the reminder! Yes, there is a reason why things happen the way they do-even tho we sure don't like some of it at the time. We did get .5 to 1 rain last nite-now over an inch in the past week--Thank the Good Lord(as my Dad would have said ) and said many a times

Good post I have tried to remeber that the past few years.
That point was driven home yesterday morning.
As some of you know I am moving to Texas well I left Wed and fro some reason I could not get out of the house. I was to leave at 11 but by the time I got on the road it was 4:30. Well with 2 cats in a crate and NO A/C had to stop ALOT to cool them down. So at 12:30 am I HAD to stop for the night in Merridian Ms. Then left and got here about 4.
2 things I ran into reminded me that I was suppose to be late.
Outsdie of Atlanta Ga there was a major back-up for about 2 hours.
Turning on the CB I found out that 5 hours eariler there was a 3 car 1 truck wreck. They were still cleaning up the burned cars and doing death investigations. hmmmmm that would have been the time I would have been right there had I left on time.......
Thurs morning did not get wake up call I had asked for the night before.
Then couldnt get Kaitlyn moving. Got between Meridian & Jackson and heard talk about the BAD truck wreck they were still cleaning up the Truck off the road under I20. They found a car under it ......They said they thought there was a car involved in the wreck but at first could not find any evidence. Happened about 1 am.....yeap right about the time I was to be bewteen Jackson & Merdian. 2nd time I said THANK YOU GOD
Went about 15 miles there was another wreck not that bad but still makes you think.
Poor Kaitlyn says yea but what about the truck tire that blew right beside us...LOL well all I can say is maybe I was sent to slow the Peterbilt behind us down cuz it was a wide load trailer and he swerved into my lane and I had room since I am smaller. The peterbild would not have.

I know some will say well you drove 1000 miles and you will see that many wrecks but I I know.

I believe God does look after people, but to say that he saved some from the WTC and not others?

To say he saves some from car accidents but not others?

Time and unforseen occurances befall us all. Accidents are usually preventable with a little care and attention, but some are not.

It isn't consistant that a loving creator would save some from tradgedy and not others. After all he makes the sun shine on the righteous and unrighteous, and the rain fall on the just and unjust.

Perhaps those that deal with the little things are just in a better frame of mind to cope with potential dangers. They are paying attention and can see things to avoid.

Proverbs says shrewd is the one that sees the calamity and conceals himself, the inexperienced passes along and suffers the penalty.

Life is full of little things. Don't let them annoy you so you "pass along".

Yes the rain does fall on the just and the unjust but

John 10:27
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

How many of us listen to hear God speaking to us?
I know before I left and during the trip I was in prayer and yes I can hear God speak.

I know there are times I do NOT listen or I do what I want and thoses times end up with the results I dont find favorable.
