The unemployment rate for young Americans has exploded to 52.2 percent -- a post-World War II high, according to the Labor Dept. -- meaning millions of Americans are staring at the likelihood that their lifetime earning potential will be diminished and, combined with the predicted slow economic recovery, their transition into productive members of society could be put on hold for an extended period of time.

IMHO... There is always a job if you want it.... It may not be a job you want or that you train for..... But it's a job....

A few weeks ago, I saw an article that said 33 or 34 % of people aged 34 and under were living at home/with family now.

As I've said before every American has the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness................ how is NO job prospect the pursuit of happiness? Even a minimum wage job nowadays has many applicants and that just makes me think these congressional leaders need to be taken out behind the wood shed and given a good thrashing, about 50 lashes each for allowing this country to be deindustrialized through free trade, the banking deregulations, rampant greed of corporations, their refusal to serve their constituents, and about 1000 more infractions.

Of course, this brings a smile to my face, now if the rest of the masses will wake up: Sixty-six percent (66%) of all voters say they’re at least somewhat angry about the current policies of the federal government,

What would the rate be if all the Baby Boomers retired? Of course you would have to ignore the loss of their retirement.
