The Laborers' International Union of North America (LIUNA) left the BlueGreen Alliance on Friday, citing a disagreement with the group's members over the Keystone XL pipeline.

LIUNA, a vocal Keystone supporter, took aim at other unions for opposing the project.

"We're repulsed by some of our supposed brothers and sisters lining up with job killers like the Sierra Club and the Natural Resources Defense Council to destroy the lives of working men and women," LIUNA General President Terry O'Sullivan said in a statement.

Standing with the anti crowd to destroy something coming from Canada Geez this reminds me of something. :?

OH YEA I remember now. R-CALF when they stood on the stage with the likes of PETA and claimed Beef from a country known to have BSE is a risk of death to consumers to destroy the Canadian Beef Industry , when the US had their own native born cases. They risked destroying the lives of many good ranchers just to push their stupid agenda. :x

sad fact is the unions and union employees are hard hit in this economy.. they have not fared any better then anyone else..

and at a certain point they were bound to have to look at who they supported.. for unions to be against jobs isn't productive in a good economy.let alone a struggling economy..
