Here's the bull I leased to Genex-I like this pic alot better than the catalogue one.He ran with 70 cows then cleaned up 200 A'I cows last year. fraser's let him graze out till January then brought him in and fed him hay-he slicked up pretty nice I think-some cattle can make it on forage after all.

I really like the feet on him too--from the looks of the springing heifers at Fraser's he's going to make cows that are pretty practical. they had a great sale on Monday-no purebred outfits just commercial outfits but were $2900 on yearlings and $3900 on two's-I bought the high seller on order for $6400.

I guess even a blind pig can find an acorn lol. His Mom is such a good little cow I was sure hoping he'd turn out well and so far so good. his daughters looklike little factories lots of spring of rib and neat little udders. Murray and Cam run things tough but the right cattle seem to rise to the top.

Now, that's my kind of a bull. I don't care what color he is.

My closest neighbor will sell his Herford bulls in Valentine next Thursday the 27th. Will see what they look like.

He really looks good NR. Knowing he is a calving ease sire makes him special in my book. Nice to hear that there are registered outfits that actually let their herdbulls breed cows rather than doing all the work for them. What is the breeding behind your new purchase if I may ask?

He's a CJH L1 Domino 552 son out of an OXH 8020 granddaughter. Douglas Lake Cattle Company a huge commercial outfit in BC owns his Dam's sire. He's a coming four year old bull. I really like the 8020 daughters and granddaughters-pretty trouble free cattle.

He looks good. I too like this picture better than the catalog pic. He very similar to some of the 8020 bulls i have seen. He certainly was a bull manypurebred operations missed because of the race to gettem taller.

How much does he weigh? Do you have any data on his calves as far as birth weights, weaning or feedlot and carcass data or ultrasound?

I am looking for a bull to use on some first calf heifers. I am getting things pretty tightly bred here with the Braxton line and I am looking for a good calving ease sire that doesn't bring any problems into my herd.

Murray Fraser at 403 787-2341 would have the actual weights as far as birth, weaning and yearling. he sure calves easy-in fact most guys think the calves are a bit too small but they thicken up and grow pretty good. i bought him as a calving ease-cowmaker kind of bull and that looks like where he'll shake out-his growth is actually a bit better than I hoped. as for what he weighs now I'm not sure-I'd guess him around 21-2200.
