Ty rode in the Lakeland Rodeo Finals this weekend in St. Paul, Alberta-he didn't win the deal but he made some money in the rounds. The city really gets behind the event and puts on a huge parade Sat. morning.

Where's the rodeo? I heard a few stats here and there while working Provost's pre-sort sale Friday, didn't hear who won what though.

It's in St. Paul-Mark O'Dempsey won the saddle bronc, Chad Randle won bareback, Dakota Buttar won the bulls not sure about the other events I think Casey Laws won dogging and Riley Warren or Jim Gunsch the calves. Bryce West made one of the guttiest jr. steer rides I've seen on Sunday he really had to hustle his feet. Riley's calf roping horse on Saturday night got a rope under it's fetlock and just knelt down on one new and kept the rope tight pretty sweet to watch. The roughstock was great-there are three rounds of rank and only one sweet pen-Ty drew the '09 bucking horse of the year on Friday and he went after her but she bucked him off. His sweet pen horse should of been a reride just didn't have a great trip. Mark is tough to beat he hardly ever bucks off. The bucking horse of the finals was Gil Eye an old one eyed bareback horse-I doubt he'd still be around if he wasn't a bucker. Anytime you can watch 150 roughstock rides in four days is a good deal in my opinion.

The bronc riders all brought out a rose for the last introduction then climbed into the stands and gave it to their lady of choice. Ty gave his to the association secretary she takes good care of him throughout the year actually since the jr. steer riding days.
