That's where we are tonight. It's raining and we drove in rain all day.
The Timed Event Championship was a blast, but next time I'll know to
get seats with CHAIRS!! It was a nail biter and some really strange things
happened. Josh Peek wound up winning the average, KC Jones
from Wyoming won second (he was in the lead to the last tripping steer);
Jo Jo Lamont was third and Trevor Brazile was fourth. Trevor and Josh Peek keep duking it out, first one leading, then the other; til the last
performance. Trevor got a 60 in one event; I think dogging, and that
really hurt him. The dogging steers were a pen of eliminators. I would
think they'd have better steers than that. The cattle were all
worn out by the 5th performance. That was kinda sad to see...but all in
all it was good. Lots of cowboys helping cowboys. Jimmy Cooper and
Paul Tiereny, you gotta hand it to them...Paul is 58 and Jimmy is 53 and
they made some awesome runs.

I haven't had computer access til tonight, so was just checking in.

Oh, the cutting futurity at Ardmore, Ok...it was fun and our friends
that we went to visit, he won the Limited!!! And 3 horses he trained
won in other catagories ridden by someone else. So he had a good
futurity in Ardmore. He's very good with the horses. Impeccable timing
and he's so good to them. Makes it fun!!!!!!

I forgot where you said you were located. I'm gonna have to do an
itenerary on here the next time, so we don't miss the opportunity to
meet members of the forum.

Interesting, I sat next to an ole' fella at the Timed Events and we
got to talking...he was from Williston, ND, moved to Oklahoma in 1976--
but we know a lot of the same people!  I asked if
he knew a certain person and he looked at me and said, "he used to
work for my father...." I then told him that Bret and Derek Fleming,
who were both at the TE was this guys grandkids!!!!

It really is a small world!
