Late Breaking News Obama Campaign LIED

Tam

Well-known member
They just announced that Gibb and others in Obama's Campaign lied about knowing about the ad that his SuperPac put out.

Will the Leftwing Bias Media cover the fact the Obama gang repeatedly bold faced lied to them about knowing about the ad that claimed Romney was responsible for a woman's death? Will they hold Obama accountable for the lies? OR Will they overlook the lie and not bother investigating the next lieing Ad his Super Pac is using to trash Romney?

I'm betting as long as the ads do damage to Romney's campaign the left will overlook the fact Obama's campaign is illegally working with his slime throwing Super Pac and supporting the ads and lieing about it  .

I bet you are right, Tam. I heard someone on Fox News yesterday say
that normally when a political ad is found erroneous or wrong, those
placing the commercial take
the ad off the air. Not the Obama administration, though. They just keep
running with it. They should give out the T-shirts, "NO FEAR" cuz they don't
fear anyone or anything. They have gotten away with way too much thanks
to our liberal news media.

Fear Not there will be an uproar about the fact the Obama Campaign is ILLEGALLY working with his Super Pac BY THE RIGHT. Obama will be forces to either launch his own investigation to see who it is in the White House working with them or instruct Holder to investigate. Either way the investigation will prove nobody in Obama's inner circle knew anything and all records of the investigation will be sealed right along with Obama's college records. That is how Transparency in this Administration works

BTW Don't worry Oldtimer will find some way of blaming Bush I'm guessing he will say it was Bush's Supreme Court appointees that paved the way for super pacs and Bush told everyone to take a 8 year coffee break on regulating anything to do with government. Which openned the door for Obama to take foreign felons campaigns donations and work with his Super Pac to destroy anyone that dares disagree with him or dare run agains him. Everything is OKIE DOKIE as long as Obama beneifits.

Romney will try puncturing Obama’s ad assault

By Jennifer Rubin

It is only August. You wonder where the Obama campaign will be in October. (The Onion parody is closer to the truth than we know, I fear.)

After a day of denying that the Obama campaign had knowledge of the “Mitt killed the nice lady” ad, the Obama team coughed up the obvious truth, as Politico reported:

Obama campaign spokeswoman Jen Psaki acknowledged Thursday that the campaign was no longer pleading ignorance about the story of a man who has appeared in both a super PAC ad and a campaign ad.

“No one is denying he was in one of our campaign ads. He was on a conference call telling his story,” Psaki told reporters on Air Force One.

Missouri steelworker Joe Soptic starred in an Obama campaign ad and participated in a conference call with the campaign in May, as POLITICO reported Wednesday. He resurfaced this week in a Priorities USA Action super PAC ad, charging that his wife died of cancer after Mitt Romney’s former private equity firm laid him off.

Distancing themselves from the controversial ad, Obama campaign staffers initially denied knowledge of Soptic’s story — despite the fact that he was in an Obama campaign ad.

Adviser Robert Gibbs said he didn’t know “specifics,” while deputy campaign manager Stephanie Cutter said on CNN: “I don’t know the facts about when Mr. Soptic’s wife got sick or the facts about his health insurance.”

And yesterday on Air Force One, Psaki said, “we don’t have any knowledge of the story of the family.”

Well, that was all a bunch of lies too blatant for even the mainstream media to ignore. So the next day, the Obama team tried to wiggle out of their lies about an ad that lies. You wonder how low the turnout will get with voters watching this depressing spectacle.

The Romney team responded last night with a statement that read: “The Obama campaign acknowledged today that it ran a television ad and hosted a conference call that promoted the same despicable attack that was used in a discredited ad run by President Obama’s Super PAC. The Obama campaign has now admitted that it lied to the media and the American people in a disgraceful attempt to conceal their connection to this shameful smear. Americans deserve better – they deserve a president who’s willing to run an honest campaign and be honest about his own record. Clearly, President Obama is not that person.”

Plainly, the Obama wall-to-wall media is affecting Romney’s image with voters. But the question remains whether that mud will splatter on the president as well. And more to the point, Romney may get an unexpected lift from his convention appearance. When he finally gets voters’ attention, unfiltered by the media, he is certainly not going to come off like the dastardly figure the Obama crew has made him out to be.

Obama has his own problems, starting with a right track/wrong track (minus 30 points) number and a job approval rating of less than 50 percent that suggests defeat for an incumbent. This is why he has begun the vicious onslaught.

After the primaries, when his approval rating was down, Romney got a chance to reintroduce himself on the national stage. That will happen again with the VP roll-out and the convention. The question will then be whether that new, more positive reality stays with voters through Election Day. Obama has every interest in making sure the cartoon villain image stays with voters.

Putting out false info and outright lying is nothing new in Presidential campaigns- nor does either party have a monopoly on it...

In fact look up the term swiftboating: The word swiftboating is an American neologism used pejoratively to describe an unfair or untrue political attack. Since the political smear campaign conducted by the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth against John Kerry, the term "swiftboating" (or "Swift-boating", or "Swift Boating") commonly refers to a harsh attack by a political opponent that is dishonest, personal and unfair.

As many ,including John McCain, have warned, now with the "Citizens United" court ruling which allows anonymous unlimited corporate spending that requires noone to stand behind their allegations it will get much worse...

The thing you fail to mention is that the swiftboat ad was explosive, not in that some claimed it was untrue(typical leftwingernuts). It was earth shattering that someone who was running for president had such exposing claims about his unfittness to serve. Also his wild claims to be in line to get medals awarded to himself.

Only the weak and feeble minded could distrort it into anything negative to anyone other than Kerry.

Oldtimer You never cease surprise with your backwards defence of your incompetent hero. The guy campaigned on Changing the way Washington works and now that he has completely failed as President he has turned up the heat on how Washington works ten fold.

The Obama Super Pac ad falsely and blatanly accused Romney of being responsible for a woman's death and Obama's Campaign goons claimed they knew nothing about the woman's death. It was only after a interview and ad that the Obama Campaign made, came to light that they backtracked on THEIR REPEATED LIE ABOUT NOT KNOWING. For Crying Out Loud the guy was wearing the same shirt in both ads so don't try tell me that the Campaign didn't know the details the Super Pac was LIEING ABOUT IN THEIR AD.

But then the damage is done so everything worked out OK for Obama didn't it Oldtimer. The slime always rises to the top and there is nothing SLIMIER than Obama and his Chicago thugs. False accusations meant to destroy Obama's opponent is the only way Obama can win as he can't run on his record of DEFICIT BUSTING AND JOB CREATION FAILURE. How many Green Energy companies has he loaned money to only to have them go belly up after they got tax payer money?

This Election cycle will go down in history as the dirtiest ever run and it will because your incompetent hero has nothing he can run on other than dirt slinging and LIEING ABOUT HIS INVOLVEMENT IN ALL OF IT. But rest assured Oldtimer the MSM will do theie best to cover it all up to protect the left and THEIR POWER HOLD IN WASHINGTON.

You don't think revealing that a wealthy candidate illegally hid some of his money and earnings in foreign accounts to avoid paying his fair share of taxes isn't exploding ?????

On many of these issues you never know if they are or aren't... No way to prove them..Or they are half truths...
But both parties have long used attack ads- true or not.... Repubs are no virgins- Karl Rove was the champion of dirty politics even putting out stories to insinuate that John McCain had fathered a black child during the primaries...

But Mitt has a way to prove or disprove some of the allegations against him... Will he take it :???: Even FOX news says much of his continued falling in the polls is his failure to disclose his past financial information...

Do you have any proof of this accusation Oldtimer?

Since we are talking about explosive info hows this Oldtimer?

President Obama and the Democratic National Committee have been savage against Mitt Romney over his foreign investments, but apparently have forgotten to mention Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

According to her 2011 financial disclosure statement (required for politicians) she made between one to five million dollars through a group called Matthews International Capitol Management LLC, a group that deals heavily in development and investment in Asian-based companies. The MICM group, according to it’s website, also heavily pushes the advantages of outsourcing. This comes on the heels of recent revelations that Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, the Florida Congresswoman and Chair of the DNC, has invested significant amounts of money in overseas ventures as well. Now, there is nothing wrong with an American investing their money in foreign ventures. As Mark Levin pointed out Tuesday on his show heard 3-6 p.m. live on Newstalk 870, such people should be praised for helping to create jobs and growth in other businesses — even if in other countries. The sticking point here is Romney is being attacked over foreign investments while Democratic leaders who invested (and made) even MORE money from these ventures are considered OK.

Another big difference between Romney’s investments and Pelosi’s is that his were with a company that does not regularly market or push for outsourcing of jobs to other countries. As the Daily Caller put it, “Designed in California, Made in Manila” sounds like the former House Speaker’s investment strategy. Just another example of hypocracy on the left.

more explosive info about your hero.
Where does Obama get the gall to make an issue of whether or not Romney was still with Bain when outsourcing was "pioneered"...How's this for outsourcing?..AMERICAN money. AMERICAN jobs.

---------------------------------------------------------"Among President Obama's disingenuous promises made over his four years, he said he would focus on creating "jobs that pay well and can't be outsourced." Yet he spent billions of U.S. taxpayer's money overseas to create outsourced jobs.

Typical of Obama's passion for outsourcing was the appointment of his jobs czar, Jeffrey Immelt, the CEO of General Electric. Even as he was basking in the prestige of his new title, Immelt was closing his last U.S. plant making light bulbs in Virginia and opening a plant in China to manufacture more expensive light bulbs, which Americans will be forced to buy.

General Electric also opened a $61 million factory in Vietnam to produce wind turbine components. General Electric and the president's Jobs Council, headed by Immelt, have received over $1.2 billion in stimulus funds.

General Electric placed an order with wind turbine manufacturer ATI Casting, but then canceled it in order to get the parts cheaper from China. ATI offered to match the Chinese price, but GE refused to reinstate its order to the U.S. company. So ATI was forced to lay off 302 American workers.

Obama also promised in October 2008 that he would "invest $15 billion a year in renewable energy sources to create 5 million new energy jobs over the next decade -- jobs that pay well and can't be outsourced." Obama painted the picture of a future in which Americans will build solar panels, wind turbines and a new electricity grid.

It all sounded so exciting. Obama predicted a future where his stimulus-created jobs would help us "eliminate" Middle East oil within 10 years and "help save the planet in the bargain." How could we resist his assurance that going into massive debt would reap such a glorious reward?

Proclaiming that his goal was to put 1 million electric cars on the road by 2015, Obama set up a $2.4 billion stimulus program to support battery production. But nearly half that money went to foreign firms, including two South Korean companies that used their grants to hire foreign nationals in Michigan to do work that Americans could have done.

We surely don't see many electric cars on the road. After receiving a $500 million U.S. loan guarantee, Fisker Automotive is producing its $100,000 luxury electric sports car in Finland.

Obama's stimulus included $8.5 billion in grants for wind farms, and more than half of that money blew overseas, either to foreign developers or to foreign wind turbine manufacturers. Our money created thousands of jobs overseas, while the U.S. wind energy industry lost 10,000 jobs last year.

The largest recipient of Obama's program to promote green energy projects was the Spanish company, Abengoa Bioenergia, which received $2.7 billion in loan guarantees for three of its projects. That's even more than the half billion dollars Obama squandered on Solyndra and another $400 million wasted on Abound Solar, two U.S. companies that went bankrupt after receiving those multi-million-dollar taxpayer loan guarantees.

Two Korean manufacturers of electric vehicle batteries were given $300 million to build plants in Michigan, but foreign nationals are being brought in to work the jobs that should go to Americans. The Department of Energy admits that 11 of the 18 contractors are Asian firms.

North Carolina-based LED maker Cree Inc. received over $39 million from Obama's stimulus and then opened a plant in China. Half of this company's employees are now located in China.

The Windy Flats project received a $218 million stimulus grant and then used wind turbines assembled by Siemens in Denmark. The Danish company, Haldor Topsoe, received a $25 million stimulus grant to construct a demonstration scale biorefinery.

SunPower admits that some of the solar panels for the $1.3 billion stimulus-backed California Solar Valley Ranch will be manufactured in Mexico, not in California. ABB Inc. received over $16 million in stimulus funds to create green energy manufacturing jobs, but then laid off its U.S. workers and transferred the work to Mexico.

An $817,000 stimulus contract was awarded to New Zealand's Connexionz to install bus monitors in the California city of Santa Clarita. The Environmental Protection Agency gave $1.5 million to Indonesia to reduce air pollution in Jakarta.

Parago used stimulus funds to hire hundreds of workers in El Salvador and the Dominican Republic to administer a renewable energy appliance rebate program. Luxembourg-based ArcelorMittal's subsidiary received $31.5 million in stimulus funds for a waste heat recovery unit.

A Japanese subsidiary, Eurus Energy, received $91.4 million in stimulus grants for a wind farm using 180 turbines manufactured overseas by Mitsubishi. Solar Power Industries received a $5.4 million stimulus grant and then, because of increased reliance on imports from China, laid off U.S. workers.

Do you remember how we the taxpayers were forced to bail out General Motors? GM then opened a $200 million plant in Thailand to make Diesel engines for the Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck."

Dems, including you Oldtimer, bash Romney for investing his money in foreign countries then turn around and support pouring Tax payer money into foreign countries while outsourcing much need US Jobs. Obama then extends welfare and unemployment to keep US workers on the government tit to keep them dependent on the government for handouts and you support the deficit busting vote buying tactics  .
And when he and his goons are caught lieing you defend by claiming everyone does it.
The Obama campaign has been caught in a lie over Joe Soptic, the man in the now infamous "Romney killed my wife" ad put out by Priorities USA.

After the real timeline of events caused scrutiny of the PAC, the Obama re-election team claimed to have had no knowledge of Soptic's story.

Deputy campaign manager Stephanie Cutter told CNN she didn't know the facts behind Soptic's story.

“I don’t know the facts about when Mr. Soptic’s wife got sick or the facts about his health insurance,” she said.

Robert Gibbs echoed that sentiment when he told reporters on Air Force One that “we don’t have any knowledge of the story of the family.”

But an article posted Thursday at policymic.com says that Soptic was on a conference call with Cutter on May 4, 2012.

"Stephanie Cutter knew Joe Soptic, and heard the entire story well before the Priorities USA ad debuted over the airways. It’s now obvious that she lied when trying to deny it this week," Jesse Merkel wrote.

"It’s highly likely that Robert Gibbs and other high level Obama campaign advisers knew Joe Soptic and his story very well," he added, noting that it is "a violation of federal law" for a campaign to coordinate with a Super PAC.

Buzzfeed reported Thursday that the campaign also used Soptic's story in a slideshow posted on the internet earlier this year that also fails to mention that Romney was not at Bain when the worker lost his job.

"Romney campaign spokesman Andrea Saul tweeted 'WOW' in response to the slideshow, while the Obama campaign declined to comment," Andrew Kaczynski wrote.

"While it could be very difficult to prove that there was any direct coordination going on, at the very least it has now become obvious that the Obama campaign knew the specifics about Soptic, and that they lied about it repeatedly," Merkel wrote.

Cutter was originally scheduled to appear on ABC's "This Week," but Dana Loesch wrote that David Axelrod will go in her place "as it's likely Cutter would face too many question regarding her dishonesty on Soptic and the campaign's suspected coordination with Priorities USA, which seems ripe for an FEC investigation."

"We look forward to hearing how Axelrod handles explaining the curious similarities between the campaign's ad and the super PAC's ad -- as well as whether or not this means Obama has changed his mind about super PAC regulations when it seems his campaign may now be flouting existing law," she added.

FACE IT, Obama and his gang of Chicago thugs can't be trusted to tell the truth until their heads are caught in the rat trap and everyone is watching them fight to get loose. And people like you Oldtimer are their ENABLERS. Stand Up be a man and demand Obama clean up the blatant lieing and run on his record. Let's see just how far he can get ON HIS RECORDS those of the past four years and those THAT ARE STILL SEALLED.

You don't think revealing that a wealthy candidate illegally hid some of his money and earnings in foreign accounts to avoid paying his fair share of taxes isn't exploding ?????

If the IRS hasn't charged him with something illegal it didn't happen.

You do know that the IRS is the enforcement division of the gov't that enforces those type of insinuated illegal transactions?

By the way, did Warren Buffet pay those millions he owed?

I heard today the Inspector General says Geithner's DOT is not enforcing tax laws.

A recently released report shows widespread tax fraud in connection with the federal government’s Individual Taxpayer Identification Number program.

The U.S. Treasury inspector general report accuses the IRS of discouraging employees from reviewing applications for the ID numbers, which are generally from non-resident workers.

The inspector general specifically said there were 154 mailing addresses that were used 1,000 or more times on applications, including 15,795 numbers assigned to a Phoenix address.

The report, which evaluated the processing year 2011, also found inadequate controls can result in the numbers being assigned to people who have not proved their identity or foreign status, which can result in fraudulent tax returns.

The inspector general also found 10 individual addresses were used for filing 53,994 tax returns and receiving $86.4 million in fraudulent tax refunds. For example, 23,994 tax refunds totaling $46.3 million were issued to an address in Atlanta; and 2,507 tax refunds totaling $10.4 million were issued to an address in Oxnard, Calif.

In addition, the Treasury’s Inspector General for Tax Administration reports found 10 bank accounts received 23,560 tax refunds totaling more than $16 million -- including: 2,706 tax refunds issued to a single account totaling $7.3 million.

The report was sent to the IRS on July 16, and released more than three weeks later.

Congressional lawmakers are demanding answers by the end of the month.

Rep. Charles Boustany, R-La., told IRS Commissioner Douglas H. Shulman in a letter that IRS employees “are discouraged from flagging potentially fraudulent ITIN applications.”

Boustany, chairman of a House Ways and Means Committee’s oversight subcommittee, also suggested the IRS has a training problem – failing to prioritize fraud prevention.

The IRS issued a statement in response to the report that said in part the agency has recognized issues with the ITIN process and that top officials are have “moved quickly and aggressively to address issues that were identified.”

“ We have already taken major steps to strengthen our documentation standards required in order to obtain an ITIN, and we have significantly increased our scrutiny of applications,” the letter also stated. In addition, the IRS has obtained new tools and equipment to help employees improve their ability to detect fraudulent documents."

Read more: http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/08/08/treasury-inspector-general-says-changes-are-needed-to-detect-fraud/#ixzz23Bn3SFZf

You can bet if these were Romney's tax returns they would be hiring as many IRS agents, as they did fact checkers to study Palin's emails and book, to search for anything out of place. But since it is likely illegals that they hope will vote Democrat in the next election, the IRS agents are discouraging from even looking for fraud. Another Obama Stimulus program, Food Stamps, Welfare, Unemployment and now FRAUDULENT TAX REFUNDS.
