Sunflower

Burning twine, netwrap, and feed sacks

My grandmother made this back in the 1960's from old jewelry she had collected through the years. I gave it to Sunflower,
and would have even if she hadn't burned all the twine, netwrap, and feed sacks.

Basically 3/4 Hereford and 1/4 Angus, out of a black baldy cow and a Hereford bull

Maybe a smidgeon too much white for my liking

And too pink of a nose

I like this color scheme better.

Pigment around the eyes and black on the nose

Calves from two-year-old heifers

A closer look

Two-year-old heifers, mothers of those calves

California relatives

Watching a calf being born

The youngsters were in awe

Of the experience

They brought lobster, which was wonderfully delicious.

Treasures were found

My granddaughter and her mother

Looking at Sunflower's art portfolio

Not a very happy inmate

Peach and associates

The rainbow was pretty to see.

Peach and crew

They'd like to escape captivity.

The herd seems to be settled.
