LAWYERS

I just heard that lawyers are planning to sue fast food places like McDonald's, Burger King and Wendy's because if people eat their food they become over weight, therefore are un-healthy and a debt to government healthcare. IS there anything on the face of this earth a lawyer will not sue for. When does PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY come in to these money grubbing parasites? If they go to court how are they going to explain the teacher that ate at McDonald's everyday and LOST WEIGHT? He was proving it is not where you eat but WHAT YOU EAT that makes the difference. Last night Michelle Obama served a 2500 cal. State Dinner. with choc. cake and ice cream for dessert. How does that count up to a McDonald salad and a diet coke?

Republicans are always told they should stay out of other peoples bedrooms when those in the bedrooms expect them to pay for their chosen birth control be it the pill or abortion. WELL Then Michelle Obama, the lawyers and the know it all liberal loons need to stay out of peoples k i t c h e n s .:x

Think about this, if they are going to sue fast food companies for people getting fat, who are they going to hurt? Just how many rich people eat fast food compared to the number of middle class and poor families. This is another lawsuit to grab money from the Middle Class to pay for others lack of personal responsibility. :x

BTW If they win that lawsuit how long will it be before they come after the farmer and ranchers that deliver food to Super Markets that people eat and GET FAT?

Well Tam, that stands for 'specially processed American meat"---and is still considered a delicacy in far east, korea, some pacific islands.

But for a Sask Kitchen Goddess, it appears you been frying up way too much of it to feed the troops. Maybe pick up a recipe book?

Maybe quite spending so much time on internet, gobbling away about stuff you don't understand in a country you don't live in---put on an apron, whip up some biscuits and stew and have a glass of chokecherry wine....?

Hey joe. I have news for you. Tam can do all that with one hand tied behind her back, in case you haven't noticed. That gal is a HAND at just about everything, including politics. As for her not understanding about a country she doesn't live in, she was born American and is a dual citizen.......and she VOTES in America. I've come to find out that the Canadians know more about what is going on in America than most Americans do.

Don't worry FF, I spent some time on the internet today but I also went to town for groceries and mail, stop to visit with some neighbors, came home made lunch while visiting with our son and his lovely girlfriend, who were here waiting for me to get home with the snow boots he had me pick up for him in town. After lunch I fixed our son's face mask for his snowmobiling trip, I watch some of the Olympics with our daughter, did some online banking and got ready to do some bookkeeping tomorrow. I also baked buns, pizza Buns and cinnamon buns while watching FOX NEWS to get caught up on what is happening in US Politics so if I decide to vote in the 2014 election it will be an INFORMED vote unlike most US voters. Then I watch some more Olympics and talked to our grandson on the phone. All while having a DIET PEPSI. Not my busiest day but there is always tomorrow. After I do the books and clean up the house a bit, I'll likely work out the pattern for the wooden truck I'm making for our grandson's birthday. But don't worry I'll likely still have time to stop in and see if peewee joe posts more insults and Borowitz crap, while keeping up with what Obama's pen is doing to the US Healthcare system.

BTW doesn't SPAM mean Spiced Ham that is what I was always told it meant. :?

Tam, I alwus sayed you wus more than just a purty face!

Does it taste like 'spiced ham'?

Nopers, I'm sticking with 'specially processed'----getting that stuff into how they got it ain't no accident-----

The difference between a liberal and a conservative is a liberal buys his own dope but a conservative has his undocumented help buy it and lies about it.

ps---Tam, don't believe whut you 'alwuys bean tole'

Liberals don't always buy their own dope:
WASHINGTON — The son of Senator Mark Udall, Democrat of Colorado, was arrested this week on drug possession and trespassing charges, the Boulder County sheriff’s office said Thursday.

Jedediah Lee Fox-Udall, 26, was taken into custody on Wednesday after the sheriff’s office received a report that a man matching his description was trying to break into cars in Eldorado Springs, Colo. After the authorities stopped and searched him, Mr. Fox-Udall admitted to having used heroin in the past 48 hours, the sheriff’s office said in a statement.

Mr. Fox-Udall was charged with four counts of first-degree criminal trespass and one count of drug possession, both felonies, and released on a $1,500 bond, the sheriff’s office said.

Mr. Udall, a first-term senator who is facing re-election this year in a tough environment for his party at home, released a statement in which he and his wife expressed support for their son and asked for privacy.

“Maggie and I are deeply distressed to learn of our son’s arrest,” the senator said. “We love our son and stand with him in his commitment to getting the treatment he needs. We appreciate the private space to deal with this as a family.”

This was not Mr. Fox-Udall’s first brush with the law, the local news media reported. The D aily Camera in Boulder said that in December, he was cited by law enforcement there on charges of walking out of a store without paying for Advil and Imodium.

I think the point that Tam is making is this -

What's the difference between a dead lawyer on the road and a dead squirrel on the road?

There are skid marks in front of the dead squirrel.

In some cases there might (SHOULD) be burn out marks in front of the Lawyers

But let us not forget for every one of these stupid anti personal responsibility cases there is a stupid judge that allows it to go forward and rules for a monster settlement without a thought to who is going to really pay for it, the customers that are in the middle class and poor, who are just stretching their already stretched family budget, because of higher and higher TAXES to pay for liberal vote buy gimmicks, by using the Fast Food joints when taking their family out for a meal. Not everyone can afford family time at high end sit down establishments like Lawyers and their corrupt counterparts in the UN JUSTICE system like judges and politicans.

Why do they think they need to protect us from ourselves to make them feel better about themselves?
Just stop telling me what I can eat and drink and where I can do it, as just maybe if they would stop worrying so much about me and mine they could see their own family members are heading for a much more dangerous place than a FAST FOOD JOINT. :x

Oh and just a bit of a correction on the story. The lawyer that was announcing this stupidity said he writing letters to AGs in the states to petition them to file on behalf of their States to force Fast Food companies to pay up if it is found they are causing the weight problems of their customers. BUT from the conversation he basicly was saying he was hoping "THE THREAT" of a lawsuit would bring them to the table and settle before it ever gets to the courts. ANd you can count on it they will settle to protect themselves from the Judges and their stupid judgement when a cup of hot coffee costs them millions in the courts eyes.

Hormel claims that the meaning of the name "is known by only a small circle of former Hormel Foods executives

Name origin
Introduced on July 5, 1937, the name "Spam" was chosen when the product, whose original name was far less memorable (Hormel Spiced Ham), began to lose market share. The name was chosen from multiple entries in a naming contest. A Hormel official once stated that the original meaning of the name "Spam" was "Shoulder of Pork and Ham".[6] According to writer Marguerite Patten in Spam – The Cookbook,

when SPAM was offered by the United States to those affected by World War II in the UK, SPAM stood for Specially Processed American Meats.

Many jocular backronyms have been devised, such as "Something Posing As Meat", "Specially Processed Artificial Meat", "Stuff, Pork and Ham", "Spare Parts Animal Meat" and "Special Product of Austin Minnesota".[8]

as for the word K I T C H E N coming up a spam.. awhile back there were tons of advertisements for K I T C H E N cabinets or something.. (spam) so maybe that was a way of stopping it?
