AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (Detroit Free Press) -- "Tonight Show" host Jay Leno has something to say about how people are trying to sell tickets to his free shows in Michigan over the Internet.
On Monday night's NBC program, Leno said, "Here is something that annoys me. I look on eBay today and I see four tickets to my show for sale. ... You're out of your mind to pay $800 to see me. ... I would like to ask the people on eBay to take the tickets down. There is nothing for sale here."
The comedian is scheduled to bring his Comedy Stimulus Plan to the Palace of Auburn Hills on April 7 and 8. Leno added the second show Monday after high demand.
Free tickets for Leno's second show will be available starting at 9 a.m. today at the Palace box office while supplies last.
When Leno announced the first show last week, he said, "One of my favorite places is Detroit. I called up Pepsi, one of our sponsors, and I said I want to do a show for not just the autoworkers -- anybody out of work in Detroit.'"
Talking about the Michigan show during his Monday program, Leno said, "You don't even have to be unemployed; you just have to be having a hard time."
Leno trying to overule capitalism???? These people don't need free entertainment. They need jobs and money and Leno kills the deal.
