Katrina:

Sorry to hear about your friend.

Thank you for the reminder that we can never be too safe, whether with farm equipment or livestock.

Prayers to you all and the family of the gentleman in the accident.

Cheers---

TTB

I just watched a little documentary about muscle farming. It was hard work and dangerous. Just like many jobs that produce food. It would be nice if the general public recognised the sacrifice many do for them. Be careful out there.

Thats sad to hear. Thoughts and prayers for the family. There was a story the other day in the denver paper about a 17 year old kid that was killed back in may. He was working for a grain elevator, and he climbed inside the bin when they were unloading wheat and got caught in the grain flow and lost his life.

There are stories all the time about people getting into pto shafts and losing arms and or their life.

driving back from my folks in SW Iowa today and saw lots of combines rolling. Lots of stress to get the crop out of the field, but cann't rush it when it comes to playing it safe.

I don't think the general public knows anything about the hardships or Labor the farmers endure to make a living. Most young people these days don't want to get to close to hard work. JMHO.
