The Obama administration was operating Fast & Furious in an attempt to have many numbers of guns found in Mexico to have originated in the USA for a another hard run at gun control in the U.S.

It backfired and they were caught. Serves them right for the lying and scheming.

EXCLUSIVE: You've heard this shocking "fact" before -- on TV and radio, in newspapers, on the Internet and from the highest politicians in the land: 90 percent of the weapons used to commit crimes in Mexico come from the United States.

-- Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said it to reporters on a flight to Mexico City.

-- CBS newsman Bob Schieffer referred to it while interviewing President Obama.

-- California Sen. Dianne Feinstein said at a Senate hearing: "It is unacceptable to have 90 percent of the guns that are picked up in Mexico and used to shoot judges, police officers and mayors ... come from the United States."

-- William Hoover, assistant director for field operations at the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, testified in the House of Representatives that "there is more than enough evidence to indicate that over 90 percent of the firearms that have either been recovered in, or interdicted in transport to Mexico, originated from various sources within the United States."

There's just one problem with the 90 percent "statistic" and it's a big one:

It's just not true.

In fact, it's not even close. The fact is, only 17 percent of guns found at Mexican crime scenes have been traced to the U.S.

 Bubba and Billy Bob told you that so you believe it

Is that why the Bush administration ran operation wide receiver way back in 2005 and 2006 ? They trying to get some more guns into Mexico so they could get more gun control put into place?

BULLPUCKEY--Thousands of guns were already being smuggled into Mexico by some of your greedy Bubba buddies- to some of the top criminal cartel folks- and thats why both operations were ran, to try and get those that were funding the smuggling of the weapons..

And when the 200 guns Bush got into Mexico with corporation of the Mexican Government failed to satisfy Clinton and Obama claims, your corrupt hero allowed his buddies to smuggle thousands more into Mexico WITHOUT the Mexicans corporation or even knowledge so he could come back and try again with his claims of all the Drug violence in Mexico because of US guns. He wasn't going to chance looking like a fool again so he set up a way to insure his numbers would be right. Just to bad for him that a government employee cared more about what his son thought of him that what his boss thought. He proved HONESTY is still important even though the President and AG of the US don't believe it. :x

The ATF under Bush only let only a small number of guns go through because they found the RFID transmitters didn't work properly. They stopped. No more guns walking.

The ATF under Buckwheat made a deal with the gun shops to sell guns and never tried to track them with electronics or otherwise. They let them walk to get headlines in the media when the serial numbers were turned in to the USA.

Leave it to a couple of niggas to run a stupid operation as this.

Holder's DOJ says Bush's Attorney General knew nothing about Operation wide Receiver. :???:

It's important to note that the Bush administration oversaw something similar to Fast and Furious. Called Operation Wide Receiver, it used the common tactic of "controlled delivery," whereby agents would allow an illegal transaction to take place, closely follow the movements of the arms, and then descend on the culprits. But Fast and Furious is different because it was "uncontrolled delivery," whereby the criminals were essentially allowed to drop off the map. Perhaps more importantly, Wide Receiver was conducted with the cooperation of the Mexican government. Fast and Furious was not.

The Justice Department has retracted a second statement made to the Senate Judiciary Committee. During a hearing last week, Attorney General Eric Holder claimed that his predecessor, then-Attorney General Michael Mukasey, had been briefed about gunwalking in Operation Wide Receiver. Now, the Department is retracting that statement and claiming Holder "inadvertently" made that claim to the Committee. The Department's letter failed to apologize to former Attorney General Mukasey for the false accusation. This is the second major retraction the Justice Department has made in the last seven months. In December 2011, the Department retracted its claim that the ATF had not allowed illegally purchased guns to be trafficked to Mexico.

Yep-- and as long as you can get a few more racist simpletons to believe in your massive conspiracy theory-- you can get all ATF investigating of gun smuggling shut down- so your chickenhearted Bubba buddies of Alabama and Billy Bobs of Texas can profiteer off illegal gun smuggling operations and get more beer and supplies for your Saturday night cross burnings.....

This type of operation without the other country's knowledge is against International Law.

The Arizona ATF were working with Mexico

All this "Bush did it" does not result in any answers to what went wrong and how American and Mexican citizens were killed with these weapons.

That is the goal of the inquiry, that Holder refuses to provide the requested information to.

I am sure there are many minority families that now pray that the ATF had actually investigated and intervened in gun smuggling operations instead of facilitation them...

when will liberals realize most if not all conservatives want criminals caught.. not let go with a few thousand guns...

this stupid inept operation didn't result in criminals being caught.. or keeping guns from criminals.. in fact quite the opposite happened..

anyone with any common sense and logical thinking can see the failure of the program.. :???: :?

And anyone with a lick of common sense would not take a FAILED operation and think it is a good Idea to do the same stupid thing but times the amount of illegal guns by ten and for extra measure keep their whole operation from the foreign country that they are sending the guns to.

Looks like the fat POS from Valley county doesn't give a flying fig that Federal Agents were killed during his Messiah's failed "Fast & Furious" escapade.

Can you imagine the Fat Man's outrage had Federal Agents been killed during Bushs' "Wide Receiver" operation? We'd NEVER hear the end of it from him. What a hypocrite.
