Liberal Ranchers or Cattleman Do they Really exist?

On Macon's other message board CattleToday it was stated by someone once that he could not believe that anyone in the Cattle Business would be a Liberal.

All the Political talk got me to wondering, when looking at the Political debates on here. Seems some of the biggest Liberals on here do not talk about Cattle also. Searched through some past post of a couple of the big ones and I do not find them talking about Cattle any. Just here bashing Bush and Conservatives Values.

Makes me wonder if there is really any Liberal Cattleman out there or do we just have them on here bashing Conservative views because they knew this would be a good place to do some arguing?

When I came over to check out the Political Board here I really did not think there would be that many Far Left Clinton lovers, but I was surprised.

Being Democrat does not always mean you are a Liberal, my parents are Democrats but are very Conservative. They are stuck in the days of JFK and won't switch parties, even though the party has left them behind.

Jigs, you really don't know the issues of trade do you?

Right now Communist China is selling its labor REAL cheap to gain our currency and hold it over our heads. They are subsidizing their own currency to do this and they are not respecting intellectual rights. To them they do not care. Companies like walmart are taking advantage of these differences to make an extra buck. You call that good?

The control China has over our financial system is scary. They are the largest holder of our debt after Japan. They have tried to buy resources around the world with this currency and their new economic might which is more controlled by the government of China than the people of China.

If you can't see how this is hurting our country's economy, you obviously are not from the states affected the most that recently turned democratic because of these republican policies that allow this.

Uh-oh. :( I guess you didn't find me talking about cows, either. Do we have to talk about cows to be allowed to post here?

I agree with aplusmnt, though. I can understand some of them voting for a dem for dogcatcher or something local. But that doesn't necessarily make them a liberal. But we've got some on here that are nothing but puredee red flaming libs.

The more I think about it, there might be more liberal ranchers than we might think. I believe they even have an organization of their own, do they not? The American cattleman's association that starts with an R...the name escapes me right now...someone help me out, please?

Aren't the ranchers in that group primarily liberals that want government and/or court intervention in their business matters?

If you don't want the rule of law to prevail and a peaceful means of attaining that outcome, you are no conservative. I think X fits your persona.

Do you know the difference between a crack whore and an economist? Actually there are 2 differences:

More demand for the crack whore.

Greater contribution to the economy by the crack whore.

Gee, with all the time you've got on your hands, I thought you could at least come up with some more differences. Maybe a bar chart or a pie or some other technical econo doohickey? Guess not...

Good ones, Soapweed. Here's another good one. I don't know who to credit it to. I read it on a guy's website, but I doubt if he was the first one to ever say it:

"If you lined up all the economists in the world they would never reach a conclusion."

There are so many economists for sale or incompetent the ones who are right are only found out after the fact.

Funny how big companies hire them though.
