Libertarians plan armed march on DC

Radio host and political activist Adam Kokesh joined Alex Jones on his nationally syndicated radio show Monday to discuss what his planned armed march aims to peacefully accomplish:

In a Facebook event post, Kokesh stated that “this is an act of civil disobedience,” but stresses, “This will be a non-violent event, unless the government chooses to make it violent.”

I read this earlier and am torn..

any act of civil disobedience that is non violent should be allowed.. even if we disagree..

but this one may be counter productive and turn out hurting more then it could ever help...

there is one possible way it may turn out positively is in a possible supreme court ruling on arms and their intent by the Constitution..

but my gut reaction is this will not go well... all they need is one infiltrator,.. one malcontent.. one ignorant sob.. and all could end up serving a long time in jail or dead... and lose any support they had..

this is a very bad idea..

Will ranchers.net have a delegation of marchers entered in this event? :)

OT and LittleJoe will probably be there

a good possibility... sometimes those who claim to be libertarian are just liberals

Kokesh, an Iraq war veteran, received dubious national notoriety in 2007, when he was given a “general” discharge from the Marines after a flap over allegations he wore his service attire at a Washington, D.C., anti-war protest in which he took part.

it is not for me to question his motives.. but marching a group of armed citizens into DC may make a name for himself and a record for those who follow his actions...

A few Internet commenters have speculated Kokesh is a false flag, planted by the left to ramp up the perception that conservative views and their adherents are dangerously absurd. Maybe

can you be anti-war and pro 2nd.. sure.. but he would not be someone I would follow into a battle...

On May 28, 2011, Kokesh and other activists participated in a flash mob-silent dance at the Thomas Jefferson Memorial in Washington, D.C. in protest of a recent ruling against dancing in the monument; the activists were arrested by force.[24] A much larger protest the following Saturday, June 4, 2011, organized by Kokesh and Code Pink, involved about 200 protesters and 75 dancers. About 10 minutes after the dancing began, police began clearing the monument

there are some liberals I know that go to about any protest they can get a free bus to...

hopefully this guy at least knows what and why he is protesting...
