Libyan terrorist release a slap in Obama's face?
August 25, 7:33 AMWatchdog Politics ExaminerMartha R Gore

As the terrorist Abdel Baset al-Megrahi, who was convicted of aiding in the deaths of the 297 men women and children on a Pan Am Boeing 747, including 189 Americans, was greeted in Libya as a hero, it became obvious of how little respect Scotland and England have for President Obama and the United States.

The whole affair is an indication of what has happened to the United States since Obama became president and paraded around the world putting down America and its past accomplishments.

This was an answer to Obama's oversees speeches made up of apologies to American's enemies. He succeeded in so degrading himself and America that apparently the Scottish justice minister thought he was not even worthy of being included in the discussion about whether the ailing terrorist should be released and sent back to Libya.

What is even more degrading to Obama and America is that the true author of the deal made with Libya to better England and Scottland's trading position with Libya was the prime minister of England, Gordon Brown. Apparently, Brown's true loyalty lies with Libya, not the United States.

Can anyone forget Obama bowing to the head of the Saudi throne? When he did, a message was sent to the rest of the world. So it was no wonder that when Scotland and England were discussing whether or not to send Abdel Baset al-Megrahi home, Obama was left on the side line, not even being considered worthily of being included.

One has to wonder when the next "slap in the face" of Obama will occur and which head of state will apply it. If America's so-called friends treat the him with such destain, what does this say to those who are planning another terrorist attack against the United States?

Now you crackpots have found a way to blame Obama for the release of this terrorist!

A lot can be laid at Obama's feet, I will admit that. But to blame him for the release of the Lockerbie terrorist, puhleeze!

Hypocrite, you would like to see an armed civil war within the United States, wouldn't you? Admit it...c'mon, admit it.

Obama could have stopped his release with a little pressure. We are in a fight against Terrorism he needed to point out to Scotland that they are with us or against us. And releasing such a big time terrorist would be a step backwards in that world wide fight.

Instead Obama came out with the strong statement that maybe the guy should at least have house arrest once in libya!

He is a weak azz President that will not take any strong stands! At minimum he should have said publicly that with some harsh words about how horrific this release was! And scolded Scotland publicly for disrespecting the families of the victims in this way.

He was too busy wishing them a happy Ramadan. Maybe the National day of Prayer should be re-scheduled to give him a chance to wish Christians well.

"deep regret"............. "a mistake", These are words of a weak man! I bet you were one of them Parents that counted to 3 every time your kids acted up?

Obama himself should have publicly and privately called Scotland and told them if they released this man it would be a slap in the face of everyone giving their lives to fight Terrorism and he should have DEMANDED that they do not release him!

He should have quoted Bush and said you are either against us or with us in this fight on Terrorism!

Obama is a weak president as most all liberals are! Even if he could not have stopped it he should have made it unquestionable that the U.S was pizzed about this release!

The most powerful man in the world has no backbone!

And even the weakest of the weak see this and are becoming more and more bold. China laughed at him, N. Korea faced him down, Libya shot him the bird and even German and France laugh at him. The guy is a FU looking for a place to happen.

Don't we have an extradition agreement with Scotland? Why didn't we file charges and have the rat bastard mailed to us?

Works for me...why don't you suggest that?

Scarborough: Obama Admin Must Have Signed Off On Lockerbie Terrorist Release
By Mark Finkelstein
Created 2009-08-31 09:12

If Joe Scarborough is right, this could be a game-changing blow to Barack Obama . . .

On today's Morning Joe, Scarborough left no doubt that he believes the Obama administration acquiesced to the release by the British government of Abdelbaset Al Megrahi, the convicted Lockerbie murderer and terrorist.

Scarborough was reacting to reports [1]suggesting that, contrary to initial claims, the release was done at the behest of Gordon Brown's British government, and was not an independent move by Scotland.

JOE SCARBOROUGH: I'm talking about the British deal: oil for terrorists. And Chuck Todd earlier today said the White House needs to answer questions: what did the president know, when did he know it? Did the administration know about this deal? Did they go along with it?

. . .

PAT BUCHANAN: It's hard for me to believe that the British government, Gordon Brown and these other folks, working these things out with Scotland to let this terrorist go, who has killed 260 or 270 people, including about five dozen American school kids, that they would let him go and not give the White House a heads-up as to what is coming down the pike.

SCARBOROUGH: This is just one of those stories that smells from the very beginning. They set up that Scottish guy to hold the press conference, like he's going to release the biggest terrorist this side of al Qaeda? . . . No! You knew the British government was attached. We predicted it last week; it's come true. Then that raises the next question: what's the link between Great Britain's government and the U.S. government? Anybody that works in Washington for more than a day knows the British government is not going to release a terrorist that killed American kids without getting the OK from the American government.

. . .

SCARBOROUGH: Because of that celebration, this is the end of Gordon Brown's government; there's no surviving this, is there? This is the last straw.

BUCHANAN: I don't think there is any surviving: this guy is just holding on . . . My guess is this thing went up the food chain at State [Department] and went up the food chain through the NSC.

SCARBOROUGH: If this did not end up at the White House, Mike Barnicle, I would be shocked.

American governments don't fall like British ones can. But if it's true that Pres. Obama gave the green light for the release of a terrorist directly responsible for the deaths of dozens of Americans, his administration will suffer a huge blow. How intensely will the MSM pursue the story?
