Valerie Jarrett says 'nothing in Obamacare forces people out of their health plans.'

"What we said was, you can keep (your plan) if it hasn’t changed since the law passed."

POSTSCRIPT: Here's an interesting tidbit: this is the fourth time in five years that PolitiFact's Lie of the Year has involved health care (one for a Medicare lie and three times for Obamacare lies). That's a pretty good indication of what subject has gotten us all the most hot and bothered during the Obama era.

well at least Obama earned this award...

Politifact's has some questions to answer to protect their credibility. As they claimed that Obama was telling the truth that if you liked your healthcare plan you could keep it when Obama first said it, then they came back and ruled it a half truth and now Obama's explanation to the first lie is ruled the Lie of the Year. Maybe if they had actually investigated the first LIE the thirty some times Obama spewed it they would have be able to give people that rely on their fact checking abilities a heads up to the fact their hero was LYING. But Nope they took Obama's word as gospel just like the rest of the Liberal loving media and now their credibility is in question.

their credibility has always been in question.

Isn't politifact the ones that verified the first couple of obama birth certificates as being authentic, before the other authentic ones were produced?

4 birth certificates...all authentic, yet different. And the woman that verified them dies after a plane crash, that she initially survived. She must have committed suicide, just like Vince Foster.

Politifact rated this a half truth.

For people with insurance, the only impact of the health care law "is that their insurance is stronger, better and more secure than it was before. Full stop. That's it. They don't have to worry about anything else."

Barack Obama on Tuesday, April 30th, 2013 in a White House news conference

Obama says people with health insurance ‘don’t have to worry’ about Obamacare rollout

Each and every person in the US has to worry as they don't know if their policy will withstand Sebelius's regulations that were meant to destroy them. So I do not see how Politifact can see this as HALF TRUE.

"If you're one of the more than 250 million Americans who already have health insurance, you will keep your health insurance."

Barack Obama on Thursday, June 28th, 2012 in a speech at the White House

Barack Obama says that under his health care law, those who have health insurance will keep it

Again half true after they admit they had already claimed the comment to be true.

For instance, at a town hall meeting in New Hampshire on Aug. 11, 2009, Obama said, "If you like your health care plan, you can keep your health care plan." We found that overly optimistic given the bill’s details at the time, so we rated it Half True.

Later, Obama spoke more specifically. In a speech to a joint session of Congress in September 2009, Obama said, "If you are among the hundreds of millions of Americans who already have health insurance through your job, or Medicare, or Medicaid, or the VA, nothing in this plan will require you or your employer to change the coverage or the doctor you have." We concluded that nothing in Obama’s proposal proactively forced such changes, and the bills clearly intended to leave much of the current health care system in place. So we rated the claim True.

BUT over 5 million have already lost their insurance and millions more are slated to lose theirs once the business plans are to comply, because even so much as a $5 change in a persons Premium knocks out any policy from being grandfathered in. Some extimates now say it could be as high as 129 million that will be losing their insurance that Obama promised they could keep and Politifact claimed his repeated comment was HALF TRUE.

"In the last year, I've visited many hospitals that are computerizing records and implementing technology that improves patient care and dramatically reduces costs," Obama said. "That's why my health care plan includes improving information technology, requires coverage for preventive care and pre-existing conditions, and lowers health care costs for the typical family by $2,500 a year, and you can keep your same coverage and your same doctor."
Yep another Politifact Half True Obama statement. When premiums and deductibles are going up for most people, to pay for this boon doggle how can anyone believe this statement is even half true. And when Doctors are not being excepted into the exchanges how do you get to keep your doctor. Emanual said just the other day if you want to keep your doctor you will have to pay MORE to keep your doctor so how is Obama planning on saving you $2500 when you are paying MORE TO KEEP YOUR DOCTOR. Yep this is a HALF TRUTH

"Because of Barack Obama 32 million new people will have healthcare."
Rated MOSTLY TRUE by Politifact

First I guess Reid and Pelosi and all those Dems that voted for the AFFORDABLE CARE ACT had nothing to do with the Bill that provides that healthcare :? Second yep 32 million NEW people will have insurance but 50 million people that once had insurance will no longer be insured thanks to BARAK OBAMA. :x That is a NET LOSE of 18 million but OH WELL those that will be without are from the middle class that probably vote for Republicans and those that will get NEW insurance are from the entitlement loving sector who vote for Dems to keep the gravy train rolling It is a WIN WIN for Dems.
