Lieberman/Palin in 2012?

Well....probably not. But interesting to consider. Could it win? Maybe so.

On another thread, hypo mentioned Palin and Paul on an Independent ticket. In my opinion, that would serve to do nothing but assure another Obama term (assuming he's the Dem nominee again - not quite a given, the way it looks now). It seems to me it will take somebody from the left of center and somebody from the right of center to make an Independent ticket work.

Who would be some of your choices for an electable Independent ticket?

I would have less trouble voting for Lieberman then I did for McCain..

but I wouldn't support them together on a ticket.. or vote for him over a good conservative..

I had liked Palin before she quit.. .. but I think her decision to quit spoke volumes for her ability to deal with a national campaign.. let alone win..
had she said she was resigning to focus on the 2012 run, then it would have been a different matter...

I see Lieberman as a possible left side of an independent ticket. I think I could handle him on a ticket somewhere. I think I would rather see a Romney and Lieberman or one of a few conservatives on that ticket. Lieberman could probably compliment a few different people on an independent ticket.

How about a Kucinich and Paul ticket

What impact does the VP really have?

What's Joe been doing?

A weak one not much like Joe, but a strong one could. If a Pres and VP would work together they could be strong partners. Especially if they offer something that the Pres is weak in.

I quite like John Boehner. But they don't say much about him, ever.

So how about, Mitt Romney (he always was my pick of the bunch)
and Rand Paul, Ron Pauls son?

Dr. Paul is married to his wife, Kelley Ashby, of Russellville, KY. They have been married for 18 years and have three boys: Will 16, Duncan 13, and Robert 10.

Dr. Paul has owned his own business, performing eye surgery in Bowling Green, KY, for 18 years. He is also the founder of the Southern Kentucky Lions Eye Clinic, an organization that performs eye exams and surgery for less fortunate patients.

Additionally, Dr. Rand Paul founded the Kentucky Taxpayers United (KTU) in 1994. KTU rates the state legislature’s tax honesty and helps promote the Americans for Tax Reform taxpayer pledge, to oppose any and all marginal income tax increases and any reduction in tax deductions.

Dr. Rand Paul delivered his first public speech in a debate with Senator Phil Gramm at the age of 21 in San Antonio. For his father’s Presidential campaign, Dr. Rand Paul traveled throughout ten different states. In December of 2007, he spoke to thousands of supporters at the historic Fanueil Hall in Boston on the day his father’s campaign set the record for most online donations in a single day.

Rand Paul is a career doctor, not a politician. His entrance into politics is indicative of his life’s work: a desire to diagnose problems, and provide practical solutions.

U.S. Senate Democrats killed on Thursday an amendment to their health care reform bill which would have helped prevent the bill from being crammed through the chamber before being read. The measure was sponsored by Kentucky’s U.S. Senator Jim Bunning.
Rand Paul supports efforts to require an open and honest legislative process in Congress.

Lieberman is also a strong supporter of cap an trade. It has to be somebody that dont buy into that crap.

Romney is a strong bussiness man. Had the press not influenced the primaries he would be president today.

I thought that McCain and Huckabee were plotting against Romney
when Huckabee stayed in way past the time to leave. That took
away the delegates Romney needed.

He is a self-made man; a terrific businessman.
I think he is waiting in the wings, but what do I know?

FH, I think A+ meant Congressman Ron Paul R-TX...that ticket would definitely shack up Washington...FOR THE BETTER!!!!!!

An independent ticket will assure Obama would go back in. Conservatives need to take back the Republican party...why do we want to ignore the Reagan example??????
