Paul has now essentially suspended his campaign- opting to go home and campaign to keep his Congressional seat for his constituents at home...

But he has awakened a movement- and definitely got some people thinking about the fact that we do still have a Constitution (which Bush forgot- or felt he was above)......

The interesting note in his campaign was that he was the only Republican expressing the true old Conservative view of Iraq- that we shouldn't be there- that the war is illegal, because it was never declared by Congress- and that we should get out as quickly as possible or it will bankrupt the nation.....

But still he was the largest money raiser from military folks in the entire campaign- with a huge portion of his large warchest being small donations from active/ex military...

Makes you wonder :???:

The conflict with most Military I talk to is that while most agree we should have either not gone in,.. or handled it differantly.. now that we are in.. we need to finish it..

it is with that thought and knowing that the troops need our unconditional support, That I will support only those politicians who will win this war,...

I like what Ron Paul is saying on the other issues... even if he wants to surrender in Iraq.. I feel that his pull out shows why I have trouble supporting him..

once they start giving up on US winning...they seem to have no problem in giving up on themselves...

as a distant observer i find it curious that ron paul can raise all this money but in how many primaries now he can't translate it into votes. why the disconnect?

Not sure... it is possible that some like myself like his stance on most issues, but feel he is somewhat to extreme to vote for...

so supporting him gets his views out...

he seems to have a large Military support... with modern tech, it is easy to send Ron Paul money, but as the military is often deployed , or stationed away from where they vote, they must do so with absentee ballots.. even if you get a ballot.. chances are most of them unfortunatly don't get counted...

part could be like the democratic youth... vocal support.. but then they fail to vote..

I would like a better system of voting for the military.. internet or some other means. and I would like a proportional count of votes towards delegates... because even though Ron Paul didn't get many delegates he did get votes..
