Wait until Starbucks gets all of those immigrants hired, ahead of Veterans of course, who aren't even used to using toilet paper. Like to see some of their competition coffee houses get more business.

I make my own pot and put it in my American made thermos for less then the cost of one of their overpriced burnt cups of crud.

Why anyone would pay what they ask fro coffee is beyond me already,.. having a person who can't speak English would just make it worse.

Dear pretentious Starbucks baristas,
Please stop pretending you don't understand the meanings of "small," "medium," and "large."
Sincerely, we live in America

Starbucks never could compete with my home made cold brewed coffee, jazzed up with a bit of caramel syrup, and served over ice, winter and summer!

While in Nashville for the NCBA meeting recently, I noticed that they had vending machines for Starbucks coffee. I didn't see lots of activity there, and didn't want to figure out how to operate them and get the correct change for them. I think the price was about $3.50, for maybe six or eight ounces of coffee.

We do have mid-twenties age grand girls who love Starbucks and put quite a bit of effort into finding the 'best buys' of it at Lincoln, NE. I believe they brew it at their homes, rather than purchasing ready-made. And ration it to themselves, at that!

Can't wait to have them taste my favorite and discover real flavor.

I like my coffee with a healthy dose of 40 Creek to start the day off. If I'm out of 40 Creek I'll substitute Bailey's Irish Cream :cboy:

I'm gonna try your blend, mrj! Cold coffee with carmel syrup over ice.......right? I enjoy cold coffee...how do you 'cold brew it'?

I just put a cup of coffee grounds, usually a little 'classier' than just the Folgers Shorty likes, into about a six cup jar and fill with cold water and brew it in the fridge for a couple of days. Then strain the grounds out and pour into another jar. I re-use pickle or three bean salad jars since I can't find my old six quart canning jars. I add a tablespoon or two of Da Vinci brand sugar free Caramel Syrup from Sams Club. The label as recipes for using it in coffee drinks and lemonade or iced tea and even Italian Sodas, whatever they are! I probably use two cups of coffee and quite a bit of ice in my cold drink cup. Trying to get off diet cola, and believe coffee has a good effect for me, caffeine, that is. One recipe I saw called for two cups of coffee to two quarts of water, but that was a little too bitter for me, so dropped amount till I liked it. It can be heated for those who prefer it hot. cold brew is supposed to cut bitterness and eliminate oils or acids which irritate some peoples' stomach. I do like the idea of addition of some alcohol at times, but it's pretty rare for me to want some alcohol.

Have fun experimenting with it.
