Little Miss Perfect

I just brought my spotlight in the house to replace the bulb, and noticed that a show about young girls in beauty pageants was on the TV, "Little Miss Perfect". Something about those poor little girls all dressed up way beyond their age and strutting around doesn't set well with me. Also having one of them winning the title of "Little Miss Perfect" seems a bit odd. Is it doing harm to the winner thinking she is "perfect"? Will she grow up being conceited? The mothers and pageant officials certainly couldn't be called perfect, IMO. What do you all think?

I think the same thing you do, kids need to be kids and their parents need to get their vanity fix from somewhere else.

I agree but if you have a mother that would enter you into one of those stupid pageants they would just figure out something else to push on you if it wasn't for that. A lot of people live their second lives through their children, most are trying to make up for a lack of what they thought they should have accomplished or a lack on what they wanted at that age.

ps Dads are not exempt from that, just check out the local football team at any high school.
