I had my Big 4x4 tractor stuck like that a year and a half ago the ground was froze in most places so all we had to do was get it out of the hole it was in.But it still took 2 big John Deeres to get'er done.

I have seen it with smaller, 250 HP tractors but never with one of the biguns... MOst these days around here seem to have switched to the track tractors... I got stuck a few ytears ago when some underground erosion washed away some ground but left a bridge of soft dirt over it.. Left side of my loader dropped in like a rock.. First tractor to come and pull me had the same thing happen (Driver didn't listen to my warning).. Another tractor was gotten to get us both ou without a problem.. Spent a good part of the enxt year fixing that whole, lol as it kept popping back up in diferent places.

we have had our 4x4 stuck a few times, but never that bad, usually unhook the implement and pull out one, then the other. I am guessing a John Deere would have walked right through that little puddle!

That picture was taken out in ACS's neck of the woods. I'm pretty sure I know who's outfit that is, but I'm not saying. He thinks he's some kind of bigshot around Humboldt.

I wish I would have taken pictues of my neighbors Caterpillar 65C when that sucker caught on fire... Burned a good long time since they had just filled it up.... Lucky their injector didn't get damaged or their tractor that was loading the injector..

I have seen enough big tractors get stuck in interesting places to know sometimes that crap just happens.. You can do a lot to avoid it but I know the Dozers at the construciton sights around here have big chains in them for more than one reason, lol.

Does anyone know for sure where this happened? I just took for granted it was Humbolt, Iowa. I was informed tonight there is a Humbolt, SD. So now I wonder where the heck this happened.

Well Shelly says she knows the guy so I'm guessing Humbolt Sask.

I know who it was, we pulled him out, it didn't take that many tractors, only three, if I remember correctly.

PS,

If this is the right guy I am thinking of, he is a very nice, kind, down to earth guy who tried seeding way too early

Jigs, I looked into it a bit for you, he had 12 000 acres last year that they seeded. I think this is the same guy but am not 100% sure. I think they took on mmore land this year. He will come and lend a hand as often as he can.

I happened to see a picture from an insurance claim a few weeks ago. Pretty new JD fwa pulling a corn planter dropped through an old wooden bridge and was just hanging there by the front wheels and corn planter....looked like a real nightmare.
