Left the BBQ around 10 PM last night, after 30 miles of gravel road and some oiled road we hit the highway. The car behind us flashed their lights, a few miles down the road we were pasted and flashed again. We found a wide spot and yup no tail lights, everything else worked. Checked fuses and they were all good. We got clear from Mableton to Alpine without any body fallowing us…..Sherriff pulled in behind us when we pulled off the road when we had lights behind us and was only 2 miles from home. No fix it ticket ,we told him we were just trying to get home.

took them aprat checked wires, bulbs... got a feeling it the dang expensive circit board.

Good to hear you made it home safe.

I will share a tip a friend of mine who works on boats shared with me. When working on any type of vehicle electrical system, do your testing with a test light. A Vohm meter tells you if there is voltage, but there is no load placed on the circuit, so the current can flow right over a high resistance connector.

You may already know this, but it stopped me from pulling my hair out while tracing down an intermittent power window issue.
