Longtime Montana rancher dies

A long time neighbor, longtime rancher, and leader in the Montana ranching community died this weekend... Walter "Bill" Cornwell age 84, died at the family ranch early Sunday AM....Bill had served as a President of the MSGA, along with many other organizations and his son Lynn had served as President of the NCBA back around 2000...Bill and his twin brother Howard "Tiny" have been some of the best neighbors we had for over 50 years......

Probably shouldn't tell you the rest of the story- as you'll think this old fart has flipped out- or the whiskey has got to me...

But Saturday when we were taking cows north I saw some of the Cornwell ranch folks unloading truckloads of yearlings in the 4 mile pasture that border us-- then on Sunday about 11 AM while hauling more cattle north, at the same gate I saw a vision of Bill in his red pickup driving out of that pasture-- just the same as I saw it 100 times as he was checking cattle, but it was a hazy vision and not clear- like a mirage... Immediately in my mind I said "Bill Cornwell died"... I came home and told my wife about it.....

Didn't think anymore about it until until today when I heard he died ( had to call his kids and the Coroner to find out he had died before 5AM Sunday morning)....

Like I said- for you that don't believe, I'm an old whiskey affected coot- but for the rest of you- and as I told his sons- Bill is still checking cattle and has a smile on his face....

Sorry to hear of your neighbor passing OT. I sometimes think that a good neighbor is almost more important in your life than some relatives that you hardly ever see.

Oldtimer, only a person that has had visions, such as the one you experienced, can believe and understand, that there is another world. Thank you for sharing your experience.
