Since I chimed in on the Obama church discussion, I'll respond here as well...
Is it okey for any organization to promote a racist agenda?
Is it acceptable for a group to vote as a solid block? supporting the person more because of his race then his policy?
I doubt it.. but when white men are not for Obama it is assumed that they are racists.. when in fact many may be just conservative, and not ultra liberal..
is it fair to assume that most blacks are ultra liberal? or racists.. no more fair then to assume if you don't vote for Obama that you are one...
I doubt it is to much of any extreme,.. but racism is real and a factor.. a few will never vote for a black man.. but many more will never vote for an ultra liberal, who technically by voting demographics shouldn't get more then certain percentage of the vote.. but he is defying demographics and taking an overwhelming amount of the liberal support..
"A 2004 study by the Pew Research Center identified 19% of Americans as liberal"..
so how much support does that leave for an ultra liberal? not much unless groups votes as a group...
from CNN... "Sen. Hillary Clinton has lost a large amount of support among African-Americans, with a majority of black Democrats now supporting Sen. Barack Obama, according to a new poll out Friday."
I might be a bit racist,.. but if Obama was a conservative... I would vote for him.. but he is not... Just as I wouldn't vote for McCain just because he is an old white man.. whom served his country with great honor..
