WASHINGTON -- After the Supreme Court oral arguments in the health care case Tuesday morning, the Obama administration better start preparing for the possibility of a future without the individual mandate.

From the very start, things did not go well for the government's argument that the requirement under the Affordable Care Act that virtually all Americans have health insurance or pay a penalty is constitutional.

Howard Dean doesn't even think the mandate is constitutional. He was on the news today saying he sees it being struck down.

BUT :? giving the amount of times that loon has been wrong everyone better get use to the idea of a national healthcare program. :wink:

If it isn't struck down everyone and their dead grandparents better be out to vote for the Republicans so they can successfully REPEAL IT.

have you heard the argument that the uninsured will cost the taxpayer and other insure more if this is overturned?


right now if a person has no insurance he can still get life saving treatment and in some cases government subsidized treatment..

this cost raises the cost of those who are insured, and taxpayers who pay for the subsidies..

BUT,... what about if everyone has insurance... they will pay their own way.... WRONG,...

under Obama care everyone will join the insured... some will be subsidized by full paying insured people's payments and some will get government subsidies.. for all covered care...


in reality the only thing that Obamacare changes is that instead of just lifesaving care costs being shared.. all cost will be shared...

thus the trillions in costs... is to cover all that runny nose / headache care now taken care of with an aspirin.. will be taken care of with an aspirin after a doctors visit..

so their biggest argument for is also the best argument against...
