House Resolution 875, or the Food Safety Modernization Act of 2009, was introduced by Rosa DeLauro, D-Conn., in February. DeLauro's husband, Stanley Greenburg, works for Monsanto – the world's leading producer of herbicides and genetically engineered seed.

DeLauro's act has 39 co-sponsors and was referred to the House Agriculture Committee on Feb. 4. It calls for the creation of a Food Safety Administration to allow the government to regulate food production at all levels – and even mandates property seizure, fines of up to $1 million per offense and criminal prosecution for producers, manufacturers and distributors who fail to comply with regulations.

Under the legislation's broad wording, slaughterhouses, seafood processing plants, establishments that process, store, hold or transport all categories of food products prior to delivery for retail sale, farms, ranches, orchards, vineyards, aquaculture facilities and confined animal-feeding operations would be subject to strict government regulation.

Government inspectors would be required to visit and examine food production facilities, including small farms, to ensure compliance. They would review food safety records and conduct surveillance of animals, plants, products or the environment.

Ah well, if you have a copy of the book, "The New Economic Disorder" by Dr. Larry Bates. Expect to see more of these 6 areas under attack by our beloved Congress.

To sum up what he says on pages 160 and 161:

He has studied, over the past two decades, the books, publications, papers and documents of the organizations connected with and promoting the new world order
(there is nothing new or orderly about it).

1. Abolish ordered government.
A supranational government such as NAFTA sets up kingdom #1 of the ten kingdoms of the new world order.

2. Eliminate private property.
This is most essential if they are to crush any resistance to their plan. Without private property, you must go to the state for your resources and sustenance.

3. Eliminate inheritance
they must eliminate the passing of private property to children and grandchildren as this gives you the resource/power to resist as they want to control the economic and social behavior of everybody. Expect them to legislate eliminating exemptions from inheritance taxes and expect these taxes to become confiscatory.

4. Abolish patriotism
Allegiance and patriotic duty to a sovereign nation is totally unacceptable

5. Rid the world of all religion.
Except theirs, which is new age pantheism -- there is a god force in everything therefore Mother Earth, animals and men are god.

6. Destroy the family unit.
Make children subservient to and wards of the state.
------------------------------------------****

IMHO, expect to see more of these 6 areas to be under attack by our beloved congress, the united nations and many "foundations". Don't worry though, they've gotton the RFID chip for people so far advanced they can stimulate your mind and emotions and you can be the perfect little robot.

George Orwell's book, 1984 , is coming closer to a reality every day.

Years ago AlGore initiated the idea that farmers should not be in charge of the decision of what crop should be grown on a farmer's farm.

His justification was that farmers would go for the money/profits everytime in these decisions........... and NOT for the purpose of feeding the world.

Actually Mike - we tend to go with the crop that will feed the family - so yeah, profit is the name of the game. Some day the feds might just get it.

Seems to me that our small piece of land surrounded by trees and located far from any road or neighbours might be the place to grow the crops we need. :D

We have - to a certain extent - overcome unwanted corporate and government visitors here by doing the following:

There is a sign stating bio hazard controls are in effect and all people must report to the house / office.

There we make them sign a waiver and fill out a four page form - trivia and legal as well.

We then legally refuse access unless they take the two day course making them aware of hazards on the place - we charge 350 dollars for the course.

And yes we have used this in the past - even the local county officials now stay off the place.

Some outfits have paid us cash to take the course.

My lawyer and a local land rights group has done this - it is apparently legally binding - no one has tested us on the legality yet - but we have made a few bucks from some who came here. Two survey companies and two water / geologist types were our first customers.

I am tired of people telling me what I can and cannot do on my land - we just copied a few businesses in the local area and allow them access - but only after they meet our standards of acceptable practise - no different than a major corporation in most cases.

I am sure it would not stand up to a warrant and in truth I do not care about that - but it sure keeps the triflers away.

We now also make a point of sending invoices to any company that takes us away from our primary job - we never under bill and you would be surprized at how many actually send us a cheque.

We are not just a lifestyle here - we are a business and anyone - other than friends or family - who interferes with our business now pays to do so.

Giving someone a two-day course would suck. Do you have a DVD or how do you do it? Sounds like an interesting concept.

We mostly drink a little coffee walk around the yard and talk about how not to get in trouble - run a couple of quiet cows into the chute and talk about their attitudes - look at the machinery - pet the old horses - hey - I make more doing that than actually farming. Oldest daughter has it all in hand - she is the 22 year old expert. I even gave her a certificate to prove she is qualified to do this! :D

I have not even watched her the past few times - just as well because I am not here very much now due to military concerns. A couple of land surveyors needed to get on here last Dec and she ran them through and they paid.

They do not get out of the yard site - I inconvenience them more than they do me - keeps the triflers away - and like I said - the daughter does it all.

Any corporation has the basic outlines and we stole / borrowed one from Stelco human resources and training via a friend in the department many years ago - we simply modified it for the farm.

MY TIME is valuable to me when someone - who is unasked and uninvited - comes to the place demands it - so I frigging well demand money for it. Pay up, get the law out here - or get lost.

So far it has worked - not always nicely - it does get some raised eye brows - and it keeps the insurance company happy as well.
