Loss of a herdsire

WE went out yesterday morning and found one of our top limo herdsires laying dead in the pen. Paid $7500 for him in March before BSE hit. He was a kind gentle real good bull. Sad to loose him. :( Now were scrambling to find a mature herdsire to take his place for breeding.

Too bad MR- You definitely need a luck change...Look at the bright side- he was Limo- be really bad if he was a good breed

Ouch!!!! Have you ever used any bulls off Clanfarm Gentle Ben-they used to test his calves at the Regina test-they were as good of Limo bulls as I'd ever been around.

You mean like on a feed test? Don't they know that FEEDING them will kill them and they'll be absolutely NO GOOD?

Well as far as tests go that one was pretty easy on the corn-good luck finding a grass tested Limo bull anyways. I just was pointing out that's where I saw the sire group.

I think he had a heart attack, it has been unseasonably hot here for the last few days and its darn hard on those black bulls that are in the heart of breeding. Buried him neath a maple tree.
