We bought a bull there in 2005 and we still use him. We needed a calving ease bull and that is what we got. 97% unassiasted on 1st calf heifers. But not for 2500.00. :?

I believe a good herdsire is one that will also work on 1st calf heifers(calving at two). I started my 2002 herdsire breeding heifers and seems to end up breeding a few each year. I don't remember the last time I had to pull a big calf...only problems I've had are presentation and I don't blame that on the bull. Of course, if you have ear-idous or color-phobia, my bulls aren't for you. 8)

The sale is next saturday the 21st. You can buy some good bulls for 2500. I have yet to have a LT bull that doesn't stand up to the test of time.

Great cross if you don't plan on keeping any replacement heifers....

I don't know LT has some pretty maternal chars. If you get the right bloodlines you might be able to save some females and breed back to black. just my thinking.

have a cold one

Obvious you don't know much about this herd. Like Ace said, the cows are pretty maternal........................

Lot 3 brought 40 or 45 thousand that topped the whites. Lot 84 brought 25000. The whites I thought I heard averaged 5800 (don't quote me)

The blacks Lot 132 brought 15000, Lot 123 brought 14000. They probably averaged mid to upper fours.

Pretty good sale, nice crowd good meal, the after sale social was a little shy on silver bullets but I may have missed them.

have a cold one, I have other prices if interested
