Was looking at some of the baseballs we have for my sons baseball team and they are all made in China. Got me searching to find and buy American made baseballs from now on and I can not find a baseball that is made in the U.S.

You would think America's greatest past-time would have a ball available that is made in America

Anyone know of a brand of baseball that is made in America?

It"s very hard to find anything that is made in America these days. Most everything is made in Asia. It"s a damn shame. Rocky

That's the underlying fundamental why our economy sucks. It's called a loss of manufacturing and a stiffling trade deficit.

This Free Trade is really working well for us. l

NAFTA, That is one bill that Mr. Clinton sighed that didn"t help America. I have a nephew that owns his own trucking company in San Diego, California. He will soon shut it down. He can not compete with the south of our border competition, due to the fact that they purchase their fuel in Mexico before crossing the U.S. Border, and they do not comply with U.S. regulations concerning trucking safety standards. Please note, this is hearsay from him to me and shared with you. Rocky

They had a special on Lou Dobbs about that the other nite...How the US truckers can't compete against the Mexican truckers because the Mexican fuel is government subsidized- so many of the independent US truckers were parking their trucks...

Some US truckers were even crossing over into Mexico to get fuel- but many were not because of the danger of violence thats occurring all along the border now with the Drug Wars going on down there....

I just looked it up- and where the average national cost of diesel fuel is $4.75- the price in California on Monday was $5.02-- an increase of over 205% in the last year  :???: :(

Probably spent two hours (with slow dial up) and I can not find one single baseball that is made in the United States. :( Really surprises me that out of all the baseball manufactures none are made in the U.S. surely I just can not find it?

Any baseballs made in Canada? I would rather buy a Canadian made product than one from China which seems to have the monopoly on the ball of our American pastime.

Congress specifically voted to ban Mexican trucks, but King George told the people at the border not to enforce the law. He showed his colors when he called the Constitution of the US "Just a goddamned piece of paper". Law Shmaw.

Sandhusker- this is essentially what came out in the Congressional testimony that GW is doing with the Enron Loophole section of the Farm Bill, with his own interpretation of it - and the entire CFTC's oversight over oil trading duties-- the same as he did with the GIPSA investigators that told GAO they were told to "shuffle paper- and make paperwork to look busy- but do nothing".....

The sad thing is that the more I look into this- the more I find how this effects the so-called FREE TRADE-- finding that many of the Asian countries do the same as Mexico- and government subsidize the price of gas.....

That's what has hurt this country so much. Bush just didn't fill a lot of oversight positions. Remember the toys that were coming from China with lead in the paint? And it turned out there was only one person in the Consumer Product Safety Commission office to inspect the millions of toys coming in from overseas? Conservatives got their wish: less government with George W. Bush (as long as it helped the corporations) and look where it got us.

The Bush administration has hindered regulation on two fronts, consumer advocates say. It stalled efforts to press for greater inspections of imported children’s products, and it altered the focus of the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), moving it from aggressive protection of consumers to a more manufacturer-friendly approach.

Same with USDA and FDA-- and look at all the recalls and pet food, tainted fish, poison toothpaste, purposely adultered drugs, etc. etc.

And everyone questions why the public/consumer is getting protectionist :???:
