Nice pix Jassy.

Just think, if you got one of them gizmo's of Soapweeds, you could have done it in 5 days and wouldn't have had to feed and put up with all them people.

Heck...after all winter it's the first time I get to see most of my neighbors...and if we used Soapweeds fancy way...I'd have to cook for the skeleton crew!....trust me...this way is much better..lol

Yes, but our shop doesn't get cleaned out since we quit doing it the traditional style.

Nice pictures, Jassy. Looks like the job got done correctly and everyone had a good time doing it. I recognize quite a few folks in the photos, right down to the cook who is grilling the steaks. Looks like mighty good eatin'. Thanks for posting.

I know, I was just pickin' on Soap. 'Course, he's kind of an ol' hermit you know. Hates people and don't want to be bothered by them.

Jinglebob, you are kind of getting me figured out in my old age. :)

Besides, doing it our way, I get to rope a lot more. Otherwise it's kind of "impolite" to rope at your own branding. (I used to do it anyway.)

How do I get a job like the BOSS :???:

White hat all nice and clean.
Around here the boss starts before the rest and keeps going after everybody has left. Does the jobs nobody else wants.

Great photos Jassy. It seems you had a great day for getting the job done. What a crew you had. There sure is a lot of diversity in the way ranchers get the job done.

One branding that was always the last one to go, usually in early June, was famous for having fried chicken. Their theory was that every other branding had beef, and maybe the crew would like a little change in the menu. Believe it or not, by that stage of the season the fried chicken tasted kind of good. :)

Well, as a wise cowboy once told me, and much to the chagrin of the rest of his band, "There is one hell of a bunch of grass in Arkansas. We need to eat chicken once in a while to keep them in business, otherwise, they will raise beef."

Yur right, that is the job of the boss...and he's the first one getting it all lined up that morning...and the last to get home, makin sure all is settled and put away...Our branding is the only one that he really doesn't wrestle or rope at, cause most of the time..(other than the picture I took..lol) he's making sure everything runs smoothly...ya know..changin ropers..given some wrestlers a break...making sure the donut lady got there on time!!!! ya know the important stuff..lol The kiddin he has already gotten from that picture will haunt him for a long time!...lol
