Make of it what you will....

Make of these videos and discussions what you will.

Personally, we dont have a history of op training in large cities that im aware of, and i would assume for multiple reasons....one being filming as occurred here.

Thus i dont believe any of this is normal. Being such....i think we are witnessing the happening of our lifetime, but its not being reported in the news. We are the news now. It is our job to decide what is true or not...it's always been our job. But we've relied on others to tell us what is credible even though we know they lie.

There's 2 clips of Helo OPs in downtown LA

One from a news crew here.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wBfH7GyRTzI

and one from private citizens.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=slCN7oz-420

Both happened over the weekend, but are 2 different (1 on the 4th, 1 on the 5th)

I would guess they staged several training exercises to cover an actual OP

The private vid (attached) clearly shows the guys loading something heavy onto the birds from what appears to be Wells Fargo (previously discussed).

MOAR INSIGHT TO HELOS IN THE "TRAINING EXERCISE"

Commenting to confirm OPs statements. Just sent the video to a reliable source and received the following…

The Black Hawks had air-to-air refueling probes on them; which means they are aircraft and aircrew from the 160th SOAR. I'm not saying these guys flew the Bin Laden raid, but if you wanted to fly undetected through Pakistani airspace to assault a possibly heavily fortified and defended compound to get Bin Laden, well, these are the guys you'd call. They are the only guys that have air-to-air refueling capability on Black Hawks.

In my 30-years experience in Army Aviation, I've only ever heard of an "exercise" in a metropolitan area…once. The 1st Special Forces group flew a training mission near the outskirts of Seattle in the 1998 timeframe. It was not well coordinated with the civilian population and local law enforcement. Let's just say the poop kinda hit the fan. It was virtually a career ender for those responsible….. and it was nowhere near the downtown metropolitan area.

Guys that do this stuff for a living have suitable training sites away from the civilian populace. There is limited value added, and a huge risk incurred, to conduct such training in a heavily populated area for "realism." The cost-benefit calculus doesn't work out. It's just not worth it. Training for urban operations is conducted at training sites. Sometimes aggressive exercises are conducted in more populated areas overseas, not in the U.S. though.

However, I'm not convinced it's related to wellsfargo. They may have lost power. But that video was supposed to be from the 5th. So that's off.

Edit: Apparently today was the second outing so maybe the first outing fits the time frame of the second video?

According to tweets released by the company Thursday morning intermittent outages were the source of the problem and the company says it is working to restore service as soon as possible.

Wells Fargo says it is unclear when the reported issues will be resolved and whether the outage was also impacting in-branch banking and ATM's.

Wells Fargo says it will post outage updates to Twitter.

Thursday's outage was the second one in the past week.
