Hay Maker,
what size is the rig you pulled the drill with?

I am thinking of getting one of theose to round bale with, and use as a chore tractor. I want to replace the old 1066 I have had for years.

with the front assist, it ought to replace it pretty well even if it is less horse power.

Great pics, Haymaker! :D Were you really planting sudan, and your soil temps are warm enough for it now? "Here", of course no one plants sudan or millet before June 1. Soil temp just not warm enough yet. I've had the same kind of luck with potatoes too. I like my blue tractors too. Got a 8600 and a 9600 and dozer and a couple of Major Diesels. :D

It's 32 degrees here right now. If you can spare some of your warm temps, would you please send about 20 degrees up this way so we can get some of this snow melted!

John, we'd be happy to send you some of our wind. The temps are so the snow is melting, but when you stand up in the wind, you are cold. We'd love to get rid of it and sure wouldn't want it back!!

Haymaker, those are sure some fat cows...

and I love the duck and sombrero!!!

No thanks on the wind offer, FH! Wind is one thing I'm really sick and tired of! Got plenty of the chilly SE wind headed your way this morning. Don't blame me, blame Soapweed! It' coming from his direction! :D

Haymaker: When is your sudan usually ready for haying? We tried sorghum-sudan up here years ago -good yield but took forever to cure down so could be baled; It seems strange that some places are already seeding while we are still sitting in snow banks! Usually not much seeding is done before May up here!

South TX is about through planting ,here in the Hill country we are just getting started,I started a Little early, due to hay shortages and the weather, been nice and warm lately.
We usually plant mid april and bale around the 4th of July the cane type grasses, bermuda grasses get cut all summer depending on moisture.........good luck
