That is Rena, the gal who helped us during calving last year. She is "multi-tasking." :)

The best help I can be while she is cooking is to just stay the heck out of the way. :)

Thanks Soapweed. Action shots have been few and far between lately. Looks like you have a good handle on calving season with a great crew.

Yep, I guess if you run in off a quad bike you can still retain your "cowboy" status - pity help you if it's a tractor operated one  eh NR?

Is that a straight truck that hauls 29 bales? Ill bet it is a tire eating booger!

I don't think it would be too terrible hard on tires, but I was thinking that it's a good thing it's working in Nebraska where there is plenty of room to turn things around :D

Thanks for the pics Soap

Yes, it is a straight truck, eleven feet wide, with beams and moving chains for loading and unloading. It probably is a bit hard on tires. :?

I haven't been on this site much, as I am barn raising the last couple of weeks. I just read your story on Hub on another thread. I'd heard that before, and it is sure easy to picture him getting a little ancy to get the gate closed and on to the next thing! I still hear him hollerin "sh--- afire! daylight is burnin!"
