Chopper has went down in Iraq with 7 on board. Families have been notified of the event. The families are now waiting to hear who was on board. Our niece is keeping us informed. Please keep everyone in your thoughts and prayers tonight. It will be a long night till we hear if our nephew is ok.

We are still waiting. Boy, it takes a long time to hear anything. Thanks everyone for caring.

feeder...I'm sorry to hear that you're having to wait so long. If the wait is this long, hopefully the news will be good. I wish I could give you a hug...in my thoughts I am.

Hang in there kid...tell the rest of family to do the same.

Prayers---

Our nephew is OK. I am happy and terribly sad at the same time. What a huge loss for these families and the Marines that served with this crew.

I'm glad to hear the good news for your family. Like you, however, I am sad and forever grateful to those families who have lost a loved one.

May they rest in peace, and lest they not be forgotten.

For this reason alone feeder, I wish that the media would not be so eager to report casualties. In their eagerness to make the war look like a terrible situation that we are losing, they hurry and report sometimes false info just to make a headline and then we have people such as you, me and alot of other relatives worrying even more because we know our Marines are in that general area. I wish they (the media) would just go away and let the Marines do their job.

Prayers to everyone who have family serving.....Everytime I hear of a fatality I think of my ranchernet family and there family serving... My hope is that every family who has a son, or daughter, father, mother, brother serving has a great exstended family as here on ranchersnet... If there is nothing I gain out of ranchersnet, is the fact that maybe I contributed to someones peace of mind, maybe helped someone feel alittle better..

Other countries seem to manage the media better than we do. You have a good point, sw, which the armed forces should correct.
