You, the taxpayer, are paying for obama to hang out with the millionaires and billionaires, on Martha's Vineyard, but when he gets back from vacation, he'll be sure to remind you that Bush took vacations to his own ranch, but was for "big business".

2 jets, 4 hours apart to transport the "first family" to their vacation, while past first ladies borrowed gowns for official functions......

Remember how the Libs b*tched about how many vacations Bush took? My Gawd it was horrible to think he was relaxing in his own home sleeping in his own bed. Never mind the fact that some of the time he spent there he was hosting Foreign leaders who requested a visit to his ranch verses a visit in the Oval Office and that for a good share of the time Bush was in office the US economy was not crashing .

Funny how these same Libs are now defending the vacations the Obama family is taking even though they are at EXPENSIVE mansions and hotels around the world, IE certainly NOT their Chicago Mansion where their beds are. Speech after speech are coming out of this twit about SHARED SACRIFICE and then he flys his family off to yet another expensive tourist destination to live it up like they don't have a care in the World. And his koolaid drinking media followers give him a pass even though the economy is crashing around the feet of the middle class .

Does anyone know has Michelle even been back to the hood to sleep in her own crib since she took up residence in the White House?

BTW Does anyone know did the Secret Service escort the family dog to MARTHA"S VINEYARD on it's own plane too? Spare no expense for the Obama pet. :roll:

before Ovomite left Washington.

Before it had even started in earnest, the much-maligned vacation became a PR nightmare, after it emerged this morning that he and his wife took separate government jets to Martha's Vineyard just hours apart.

Michelle Obama was revealed to have arrived at the Massachusetts retreat, only 500 miles from Washington, four hours before her husband yesterday.
She was accompanied by their daughters and landed at around 2pm - four hours earlier than the President.
The extra transport to get the the First Lady to the island for only a few more hours of vacation time will have cost taxpayers thousands in additional expenses.
The costs related to Mrs Obama's solo trip mainly include the flight on the specially designed military aircraft she took instead of Air Force One, as well as any extra staff and Secret Service that had to be enlisted to go with her.
She would also have had her own motorcade from the airport to her vacation residence.
The President had already drawn scorn for using two helicopters and Air Force One to get to Martha's Vineyard.

At least they didn't require an extra plane for the dog....maybe I better check to be sure. They've done it before.
