Martin Luther King -That's how i know him did a hell of alot more to bring people together then he did wrong doings, and as far as being a minority buddy your a long way away from that!!!I know first hand, give me a break!!How are you personally bringing the community together??Are you the judge of others short comings??Look in the news pal!!Blacks,Whites,Asians, latinos,no ones perfect, but every time someone mentions a wrong doing on here they say oh,but did you see what that black guy did.Freakin'sakes! This is Ranchers net,for people who like to RANCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Get a life and go check your COWS!

TXTibbs, I think you make a GRAND point.

the equal opportunity laws do nothing but limit the talent that is hired in a company. putting quotas on employers is rediculous.

imagine if you were a pure bred breeder and the govt said you HAD to have a certain percent of other breeds in your herd.... kinda kills your market.

is it not racist to demand some are hired baded on color or gender? who is the bigger racist? Jessie Jackson, Al Sharpton, or an average white guy who questions MLK ?

personally Jessie and Al do more to hold back people of color than any white guy I can think of.

Read the book:

"Stupid Black Men"
by Larry Elder (a black man)

Why race-baiters and hacks who
call themselves "black leaders"--
and their white allies -- are the
worst enemies of black Americans

:( This is a ridiculous thread and borders on extreme racism :?

So.........since racism is real on both ends of the spectrum, do we just not talk about it and maybe it will go away?

Well then why don't you move it into political.

A thread on nasty stuff about Martin Luther King is uncalled for IMO

I didn't start it here. I just chimed in.

Is discussing nasty stuff about ANYONE acceptable? Why should anyone be immune?

No its not acceptable to say nasty stuff about anyone but its ridiculous to talk about a person that did more good then bad and one thats not alive to stand up for themselves.

I agree with Mrs Greg. This is not the place for this thread.

Okay,
now you've struck a cord with me!!!Becuase guys like you are the reason nothing in this country and in the world in general will not change, dose'nt matter who's elected!!!You are who you are and apperently you like the status quo,Big time.Racism is apperently something you buy into, have'nt heard you talk about the accomplishments of people of color. You spend alot of time researching negative politacal situations of only black people,Thats pretty sad!!Speak volumes to who you are,and i came to this forum to get away from that, damn.Hope everyone on here is'nt like you!!!!!!!!!!!!If i had a dollar for everytime some White guy past me up when i had more experience then them,i would be on vacation and not talking to you idiots!!I could cry foul all day long on that deal, but that's what seperates the men from the boys, aint it!I choose to work harder for what i get,and not sit around crying about how this person and that is getting ahead of me and how i'm entitled to this.If you want it, go get it,Hard work and perserverance man.No ones trying to get yours except you.You apperently can't compete so you come here and bitch and moan,do you watch the news??Lots of white people screwing up to,where's your comments on them,oh,i guess that's ok??!!I don't have time to sit on my ass digging up all the dirt you know i could on people just like you, cause i have a life!!!!One that's filled with predominantly friends of the caucasion persuasion!!They love me,and i them,And i'm Black!!!I don't condone racism from anyone any color,Period!!!Makes me sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Blkbukaroo,firstly,Welcome to ranchers. Please Stay!

Ranchers is full of all different ranchers from North America, sometimes being A Canadian on here gets interesting but the people on here are more then a little awesome. You'll learn tons from everyone on here,we ALL do something differnt because of breed of cattle we raise down to the climates we raise them in. There gets to be tiffs in here but get resolved or tolerated AFTER a discussion. And sometimes the discussions get heated but mostly those happen in political and bull,so I'm hoping this gets moved and then we both can chose to ignore this ridiculous thread :?

No Mike we work on it and hope it goes away!!!Not perpetuate it!!

I agree 100%. Glad to have you aboard.

But don't EVEN try to put a guilt trip on me. I have seen the good and bad in all colors and tend to treat everyone as equally as they would treat me.

["On a cold winter’s day, a group of porcupines huddled together to stay warm and keep from freezing. But soon they felt another’s quills and moved apart. When the need for warmth brought them together again, their quills again forced them apart. They were driven back and forth at the mercy of their discomforts until they found the distance from one another that provided both a maximum of warmth and a minimum of pain.

In human beings, the emptiness and monotony of the isolated self produces a need for society. This brings people together, but their many offensive qualities and intolerable faults drive them apart again. The optimum distance that they finally find and that permits them to coexist is embodied in politeness and good manners. Because of this distance between us, we can only partially satisfy our need for warmth, but at the same time, we are spared the stab of one another’s quills."]
