to Remake American Politics. The plan's 3 main goals for 2013:

1. Get big money out of politics
2. Expand the voting rolls getting more people registered to vote
3. Curb the use of the filibuster in the Senate

All this from a Mother Jones article written by Andy Kroll who was also on C-Span Wednesday.

who spent and raised more . this election?

Hint.. 1072.6 million.. or just slightly over a billion..

the other guy... 992.5 million... and he lost..

and if you dig deeper the results do not change much.. yes they would benefit by eliminating "big" money as they always have..

I would say liberals speak with forked tongue..

Yea, and I really want those "low Information" voters who don't care enough about voting at present to start voting NOW!

The program also includes fighting "Voter Id's".

I can't believe the negative replies. Who received the largest contributions--who received the majority of small contributions??

Nevermind who leads the charge in getting money out of elections??

When you talk about "big money in politics", are you talking about how much the Dems. give back to their donors, with faux stimulus plans etc.?

They have been posted lots of times, even on FOX and no Republican has yet to disagree with them, that I've seen, not even Hannity. I say this while I'm sitting here listening to Tavis Smiley criticizing the president.

On a national level the country is already past the tipping point when it comes to who will win presidential elections. From here on out there will be donk presidents, and on rare occassions, a rino.

True conservatives will battle for the crumbs.....senate seats from conservative states in the south (a few from the west), and conservative congressional districts scattered around the country.

Donks will write the rules and stack the deck.

It's over folks.

Can't remember when I said, "last chance", but it was sometime before the 2012 election.

Where did TSR go? Maybe to find a government worker to add up the numbers for him.

You'll be paying union overtime wages for that TSR.

ever wonder why Obama has so many "small" donor transactions?

WASHINGTON – Using a Pakistani Internet Protocol and proxy server, a disposable credit card and a fake address, “Osama bin Laden” has successfully donated twice to Barack Obama’s presidential re-election campaign.

“Bin Laden” is currently set up on the official campaign website to contribute more to Obama’s campaign. The name is also registered as a volunteer.

Since the “foreign” contribution was sent, “Bin Laden’s” email address has received several solicitations from Obama’s campaign asking for more donations.

The acceptance of foreign contributions is strictly illegal under U.S. campaign finance law.

One donation was made at BarackObama.com using a confirmed Pakistani IP address and proxy server. In other words, as far as the campaign website was concerned, the donation was openly identified electronically as coming from Pakistan.

Upon clicking the “donate” button, WND staff selected the $15 amount and were taken to a page on the campaign website asking for a first and last name, city, state, zip code, email address and phone number.

The information submitted was: “Osama bin Laden, 911 Jihad Way, Abbottabad, CA 91101.”

While the website only has options for U.S. states and zip codes, there is no mechanism in place on Obama’s website to verify the individual is actually located in that state or zip code, or even in the U.S.

The Obama campaign refuses to release the identification of donors who give less than $200

like I said.. a cap on the total amount for each campaign cycle is the only way to get the money out of the election cycle..

And as I have said many times,I'm all for public funding of presidential elections. Let the candidates (I prefer 3) split the funds evenly and thats all you get,do your best.

in 08 McCain stuck to public funding,.. Obama promised to stick with public funding..

that makes one in line with your principles,.. and the other a lier..

In my opinion when a person lies several times on the same issue.. I find it hard to believe him again..
