Moved the replacement heifers out to grass today. It was a little exciting as we hadn't worked them from horseback before

We sent the tractor ahead with a bale but it had no Pied Piper affect. Which we assumed, but we wanted some dry hay up there anyway so thought we'd try.
They know something is up:
Calmed down and munching through a hay field:
On to the Queen's grass:
The Big Boss, The Chief, The One With The Most Cows.... Dad
My daughters who managed to make themselves strategically positioned at the correct times:

Countryside is greening up. We finally had some rain, 1" over 2 days. Hopefully things get jumping now.
Seen earlier today. Far enough away and of a variety not to cause gcreek like problems:
Misc. horses:
A registered 3 yr old Appy and a 2 yr old QH filly that has Peppy San on the front side of the papers. I have high hopes for both.
