As usual, when the rightwingnuts start screaming about Obama, they've done the same thing:

It is my understanding that the amendment, according to Charles Rivers Associates, which analyzed its provisions, would cause the loss of 24,000 to 47,000 Ohio jobs, in 2010, and energy-intensive industries to shrink by 2.3 to 5.6 percent in 2020. We are talking about manufacturing industries, energy-intensive manufacturing and chemical and many others.

The McCain amendment will put coal out of business by forcing fuel switching to natural gas. This might even be why some organizations are pushing this amendment. Last year, I was shocked to read that a Sierra Legal Defense Fund staff lawyer said.....

His "understanding" verses an ACTUAL RECORDING of Obama.

You better swing a bigger club than that.

Are you suggesting that a US Senator from Ohio, a state where coal is especially important, doens't have an "understanding" of McCain's amendment? Did you bother to read the link? Oh, of course not. You might actually learn something.

Obama never, ever said he'd bankrupt the coal industry. The title of that tread is another desperate lie. Apparently you'd rather lie than tell the truth! No wonder our banking industry is in such bad shape!
