McCain - just a gigolo?

Friday, August 22, 2008
In the 2004 presidential race, the Bush campaign and right-wing pundits jumped all over the fact that Kerry had married an heiress (his second wife), and that they had a (gasp) prenuptial agreement:

“If his own wife doesn’t trust him with her money, why should we trust him with ours? Teresa Heinz Kerry is not sure about her husband’s character. Are you?” “He’s always had a net underneath him throughout his political career — in his case a net woven of homespun 24K gold.” - Joseph Farah, World Net Daily (with the headline “President Gigolo?”)

“He’s basically a skirt-chaser, folks. He’s a gigolo.” “Kerry never had to worry about the money he earned, the taxes he paid, or the programs he and Ted Kennedy forced the rest of us to pay for. … Mr. Kerry Heinz is not effected [sic] when these neighborhoods are destroyed and working class families lose the largest asset in their retirement plans — their home’s value.” - Rush Limbaugh

“John Kerry can’t really speak to the middle class tax cuts, inasmuch as he is a kept man. He lives off the money made by other men and left to their daughters or wives.” - Ann Coulter (in her book, she refers to Kerry as a “gigolo, the male Anna Nicole Smith”)

Having a wife who provides you with a private jet and eight multimillion-dollar vacation homes provides for a comfortable life. But is this the right preparation for becoming president?” - Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, World Net Daily

“If John Kerry wins in November, he will be the premiere president of this great country of ours to be also a gigolo. The dictionary defines ‘gigolo’ as a man supported by a woman in return for his sexual attentions and companionship. It might sound rough for John Kerry, but it’s right to the point.” - Taki Theodoracopulos, American Conservative

Jay Leno even joked about how Kerry would eliminate the federal deficit “He said all we have to do is find a really rich country like Switzerland and marry it.”

So why haven’t the same people been saying the same things about McCain? McCain married a rich heiress who funded his political career. McCain signed a prenuptial agreement. McCain has a safety net (a private jet and so many homes he can’t remember them all). McCain and his advisors are not “effected” when working class families lose their homes. Why aren’t they calling McCain a gigolo?

You keep begging for the Democrat's to be in power and we'll be a socialist government quicker than a flash. You can sure tell you be in the government trough to damn long. Help Help someone come save me.

I say these guy's just married right we all would if the circumstances allowed but they don't.Most people marry the love of their life some just happen to be rich.

I would'nt worry about it though when the smoke clears Obama will still be a senator.

Ironic? I'll tell you something else that's kinda ironic:

McCain's wife has plenty of money, but he's still got a full-time job and is trying to get one that is a lot more demanding than the one he's got.

But on the other hand, YOU sit around on your ass all day and half the night posting on computer message boards or watching tv or whining at the coffee shop or swilling whiskeys at the watering hole while your wife is the one that works.

But you want to call McCain the gigolo? That's what's kinda ironic.

If I remember right Kerry had a job too- and on top of that wasn't even introduced to his heiress until 2 years after his divorce-and her husband had died--- while McCain was sneaking behind his crippled wifes back to carry on a fling with his 20 year younger rich bimbo heiress- even filing for the marriage license before his divorce was final in his angst to get at her millions....

Yep so much for these new Republican high moral values....

Just a bunch of HYPOCRITES........

Could I insert a couple of words here?

But on the other hand, YOU sit around on your FAT SLOPPY ass all day and half the night posting on computer message boards or watching tv or whining at the coffee shop or swilling whiskeys at the watering hole while your wife is the one that works

There, I feel better. Thanks.

Speaking of moral values and HYPOCRITES...

...how do you rationalize repeating accusations of President Bush using drugs, while at the same time overlooking Obama's admission that he used them?

I thought you were a big law and order man? Is drug use only important when it's not YOUR candidate doing it? Are you willing to overlook it with Obama?

And maybe McCain knows the truth and his wife knows the truth, too - just like you and your wife. Did you ever think of that?

Although it has never been proven that Thomas himself fathered a child from his maid, or any other slave, you're hitting a little close to home here.....

I'm a descendant of Thomas.

Curiousity got the best of me-- since I'd never even heard of the Black Centurion Card- so I did a little researching....Found out that Gigolo job must pay pretty well....Definitely puts you in the elite of the elite...

Costs more to get the card than most folks charge on a card... And requires more charged to it ($250,000 a year) than most folks make....

Yep ol McSame- married into the elite of the elite....No wonder he wants to cut taxes for the rich....

As of Aug 1, 2007, in the United States, stated requirements to become a card holder included minimum annual spending of $250,000, exceptional credit history and significant financial assets. However, the requirements could be waived for celebrities and public figures. Requirements for acceptance in other countries can differ slightly. There is a US $5,000 one-time initiation fee for new primary card holders, plus the annual fee of US $2,500, for a total of $7,500 due within the first billing cycle after obtaining the card.

Centurion card members in the U.S. have the option of additional cards for an annual fee of $1,500 per each additional Centurion card.
==========

The card, available for both personal and business use, offers numerous exclusive privileges including a dedicated concierge and travel agent, complimentary companion airline tickets on international flights on selected airlines with the purchase of a full fare ticket, personal shoppers at retailers such as Escada, Gucci, and Neiman Marcus, access to airport clubs, first class flight upgrades, membership in Sony's Cierge personal shopping program, and dozens of other elite club memberships. Hotel benefits include one free night when at least one paid night is booked during the same stay in every Mandarin Oriental hotel worldwide once a year (except for the New York City property[citation needed]), one free night at one LXR Luxury Resorts hotel (EXPIRED), once per year, and privileges at hotel chains like Ritz-Carlton, Leading Hotels of the World, and Amanresorts. All of the benefits mentioned above are for United States-issued cards. American Express Centurion cards issued in other countries may include different benefits. The card has recently added new amenities, including access into the Virgin Atlantic Flying Club Gold, as well as US Airways Platinum Preferred status as of June 1, 2007. As of August 14, 2007, American Airlines Admirals Club access was added to the long list of amenities.[citation needed]

A new Centurion card crafted from anodized titanium was issued as a replacement for all plastic U.S. Centurion cards in the first half of 2006, with the titanium version being rolled out to certain other countries as well. This new card is slightly thicker than a standard credit card, and therefore is sometimes difficult to insert and remove from some card readers, such as the ones found on gas station pumps, as well as automatic readers, such as the ones found at Target. There have also been rumors that some airport metal detectors are set off by the titanium black card. This problem can generally be alleviated by sending a wallet through the x-ray machine in the provided plastic bins.

Travel benefits include enrollment in:

Continental OnePass Gold Elite
Delta Air Lines SkyMiles Gold Medallion
US Airways Dividend Miles Platinum Preferred
Virgin Atlantic Airways Flying Club Gold
Priority Pass Membership
Hilton HHonors Gold

========

Spending limits
The Centurion Card does have limits, but these limits are not pre-set at a certain level. Like any other American Express charge card, the limits are based on the spending history of card holder, as well as their personal credit profile and financial resources.
wikipedia

"The Centurion card is for people with more money than sense. Centurion claims to be the best in the world for what they do--but could not find me a proper place to eat when I was on business in Ottawa. Plus, every time I call, I get diverted to a call center. I'm looking around for another concierge company, and the only reason I keep the card in the meantime is because I can put it on the table at a business dinner--and it makes the point. Unfortunately, the card is still a status symbol."
